I can't help but think the show is dumb or they picked the worst Jedi of the Order to do the most menial tasks as a way to keep them out of trouble. Obviously the show is horrible, but I still think, when looked at in aggregate, it's a satire. The show writers didn't intend it, but that's what it is.

It's a lie by omission. Yes it's true that Mae started a fire that went out of control, but they don't mention the fact that much of the chaos and death happened because of the Jedi's involvement, specifically Torbin and Sol breaking in and starting shit. Without them, the Witches would have probably been able to get the fire under control and everything would have been fine, or they would have at least been able to evacuate without any loss of life.

No, he's definitely referring to his Padawan in Legends that turned to the Dark Side. The whole conversation was about Qui Gon's padawans. I used to love the name Xanatos. I can't remember exactly what happened in that book, but I do remember Qui Gon saved the name by telekentically molding a ring back together, which got him and Obi Wan out of some trap and he helped heal Xanatos of his anger. It's been over two decades since I read it though, so I could have the details a little off.

I'm genuinely confused if the writers think that coming away from this episode I'm supposed to blame the Jedi? Because I don't. If I was a Jedi Master reading this mission report & it described everything that happened my only comments would be: Torbin: Maybe you need to get counselling for when you're away from home, you seemed abit too uneasy & you went crazy for a minute there saying you were going to kidnap those children. Sol: You possibly care abit too much about innocent children.You met that girl for like 10 minutes & seemed to have formed a really emotional bond. Keep that in check buddy. I have no further advice, great work killing that smoke demon by the way. Trinity: You seem really dismissive of your Padewan when he was tortured. Don't let that happen again or if it does treat it the same way as if they started force choking you. Kel-Naka: I think we need to get you a Magneto helmet to stop mind invasion but otherwise seems like you didn't do anything wrong buddy. I hope you don't feel any guilt for this. All in all team I think you had a pretty successful mission. Shame the other child died but from what Sol sensed it seems like she might have already been corrupted by the dark side if she tried to burn her sister to death. Wiping out that evil lesbian communist space witch cult seems like a net positive for the galaxy, you all get gold stars. Obviously in the future I'd recommend scanning the planet for life before spending 7 weeks studying moss but I'm not gonna tell you how to do your job, if you like spending that long away from the Jedi temple then you guys do you.

@@blizzyblob There's good acting, but the writing is god awful. Sol and Qimir are good examples of good acting, but that's vastly different from what you can truly achieve given your script. Osha/Mae on the other hand... The acting is extremely bad. So is Yord and the white dude that came with Vernestra to "investigate". I will give credit where it's due, but you have to distinguish between writing and acting. As bad as the writing is, Sol and Qimir did well as far as their script would let them. All in all, I just watch the show for laughs at this point. I also watch it from a different source rather than spending money on Disney+ as they don't deserve the money/viewership.

​​​@@bridget7539She wasn't tossed, she didn't want to come. Jedi didn't just take her sister, Osha chose it. Sol killed her mother, true, but Indara killed them in self-defence essentially. Mae did start the fire though (and not as the revenge for that but for sociopathic reasons) after being agitated by one of her mothers. The coven aggravated situation for no purpose, noone was "kidnapping" their children.

The Padowan Tommen obviously misses his cat, Sir Pounce from Game of Thrones. "I want to go home" just might be the most convincing piece of dialogue to date, no acting required. Tommen is very fond of his cat and seven weeks away is too long, especially for such a lovable furball that was Sir Pounce. Sir Pounce grows lonely without Tommen and that has been playing on his mind for almost two months. Great way to pad out a comment. Just use half of what you did before from a slightly different angle.

@@Kekkersboy go take a look at all the atrocities and calamities caused or committed by force users, both light and dark throughout the millennia and then tell me again that there doesn’t need to be some sort of regulatory body looking out for similar issues. People compare the dark side of the force to a drug for good reasons, though they often forget that just as many are addicted to narcotics as there are to stimulants. The force amplifies what you put into it and if you don’t pay careful attention this causes issues no matter what side you use, this can be seen even in the base movies.
