Those are probably the best and most interesting original 70s lifts we still have in Switzerland. An absolutely fascinating install and I'm glad they still exist. Sadly the Parking will be demolished and completely rebuilt in the coming years, so they will not be around for much longer. Yet that might a good thing because it means that they will stay original till demolition - otherwise they probably would have been modernised already like the other ones. Oh and speaking of them - they don't go 1.75m/s anymore. They're set to go 1.6m/s only. I was in that motor room too but I did not film anything, the real Aconics are way more interesting.

Yes I am really saddened by the future demolition of the building but as you say at least the two elevators will not have undergone modernization during all their lives which is rather rare. Indeed the two modernized ones only go at 1.6 m/s, I forgot to change the indication when I copied/pasted If I filmed the other two modernized ones it's because seeing the machine still original after modernization is an exceptional thing today but after, all the rest it's more or less standard.

@@ElevatorExploration Yes indeed, the newer ones are a very good modernisation. BP408 is a good controller too. The drives are a bit weak for the motors because they're somewhat ineffizient by now. The motors should be rewound but sadly that is not going to happen. The drives are pretty much at their limit when starting and stopping, so the lifts can't go 1.75. A friend of mine had a look into it but it didn't work. Also as you were there after my visit to the modernised lifts, you got to see them with advanced door opening. Runs nicely now.

Yes, these are really very nice, original Schlieren elevators. I filmed her twice. You linked the video of mine where all 4 elevators are still original.

Yes now that you mention it I remember seeing the second video, I also filmed them in 2016 when the four elevators were still completely original.

Frankly, I'd rather see them modernized than replaced, but the building will be demolished so these elevators won't be in working order for much longer.

Merci beaucoup, après je préfère voir ces ascenseurs modernisés plutôt que remplacés.

14:54 I think I prefer the original 'De Lift' film from the 1980s rather than the remake 'The Shaft (Down)'. Very funny!
@ElevatorExploration Жыл бұрын
Indeed, I too prefer the one from 1983 because the elevators used in the film are real elevators and moreover they have the same controls as those presented in this video. the 2001 remake is completely wrong, it's a film set created for the film and nothing is true and a lot of editing and special effects are added in the post-production.

Dynatron Schindler

They are Schlieren not Schindler more precisely Schlieren Monotron 3, Schindler only copied this system later with the Dynatron 2 but originally it was Schlieren who invented this system that you see in this video.
