I don't know if you already did a video on this, but it happens to me all the time that I mix up estar and ser, also I can't quite wrap my head around the differences between esta, ésta and está, I always forget which is which and where the accent must go... 🥴 So a video on these would be much appreciated. 😀 ¡Muchas gracias por este excelente contenido!

Pues se ha eliminado el usar “ésta” ya que es lo mismo que “esta”, misma acentuación y mismo significado. En cambio, “está” viene del verbo estar. Así es simple y nada rebuscado. 😄

What's even worse is that many native speakers now omit the preposition _de_ when using *acordarse* and you get to hear very often things like: _"No me acuerdo la marca de su coche"_ instead of _"No me acuerdo de la marca de su coche"_ or _"No recuerdo la marca de su coche"_ , or they even use *acordarse* followed by other words that would require *recordar* instead: _"Me acuerdo que ella siempre llegaba tarde"_ or _"¿Sí te acuerdas cómo se prepara esa sopa?"_ . As a native speaker of Spanish and huge languages lover, I have to say I _hate_ that particular phenomenon with a passion. 😖 Which is why I'm all the gladder you guys decided to tackle this very subject! 👍😎👍 ¡Un fuerte abrazo desde México!

@@observant6953 Yep 👍, languages evolve, but sometimes in worse directions. I'm a polyglot and a lot of irregularities (exceptions) I've observed are caused by such evolutions. English is a mighty example, it was fairly logical, but mixed with Latin and French, there are now many exceptions (especially in pronunciation).

Yo lo aprendí así: Recordarse = To remind Acordarse = To remember Recordar = To remember (con nostalgia) Ejemplo: Recuerdo mi infancia (nostalgia) Me acuerdo de mi cita (no nostalgia)

Fun fact, the idea is similar in Portuguese: "lembrar-se" is a reflexive verb and "recordar" isn't. But "recordar" is barely used, at least from what I can notice, and it has more to do with a distant memory from the past, like, to relive a moment. "Lembrar-se" sounds more casual.

Saludos, Pau

Great topic. But for a “super easy spanish” video I wish the speakers would slow down a little like some of the other super easy videos. Far too fast.

@@EasySpanish Thanks for being understanding. I think a fantastic example of “super easy” videos are those made by Paulina (I think that’s her name) from Mexico City. She not only speaks slowly but every word is fully pronounced and the vocabulary is not too advanced. As a beginner I feel a confidence boost when I watch her videos.
