One full year ago we planned this vacation not knowing if sanding (farm work) would be done, not knowing what events might find their way to our calendar, not knowing how the weather would turn out in Florida. Remember last time we went in January 5 years ago? It never got warmer than 44 degrees I believe. All the stars aligned and it turned out to be the most phenomenal vacation ever. That'll all come in the next video, though. Today I'm sharing my vacation grocery haul, our travels to Florida (including a stop in Nashville) and our first night's supper out in Pensacola Beach.

YEARS ago my little family would just go out for an afternoon ride & I would always pack up snacks. Hubby would say WHAT DO YOU HAVE? A nd it was always nice to have a few things to offer. Just know what its like!

You are doing so well trying all the keto stuff but if you love peanut butter you could make peanut butter fat bombs. Melt sugar free chocolate and add peanut butter stir it up and put in molds. They have 2 carbs and 6 grams of protein. They harden and are so delicious

Jennifer, the kids looked like they were having a great time, even though they had to share the space in the back seat. 🤣 I heard Peter say, "You have that on my shoes!" I am so glad you get a chance to get away as a family and get some fun time. It reminds me of my childhood vacation trips in a Plymouth station wagon with 4 kids and a dog going cross country. We had a lot of baloney and mustard sandwiches made out of a cooler while going down the road. I look forward to seeing more. Thanks for sharing!

I used to work at a KMART in Pensacola! Tip...put the lid on 1st and pour your ice in thru the hole in the top...and mix up the flavors! Hope you're havin' a great time...P'Cola Beach is terrific fun...we used to spend every Easter Sunday on the beach and had a Polish style brunch of Kielbasa, hard boiled eggs and beer for the adults! We loved taking our kids on vacation when they were younger. It's a lot of work for mom I felt but love the memories. It's fun when they are older too but every little thing is so exciting when they are younger. We still love family vacations and our youngest is 19.

You where on my stompin grounds when you stayed in Nashville, used to go there all the time. Cool carriage ride isn’t it. Peter made a beautiful hot pad. Joe was so sweet. Hi Jennifer you were at the Bucee's in Athens, Alabama. It is fairly new having opened in November 2022. Hope you enjoyed your travels through our beautiful state of Alabama. Your next beach trip look into visiting Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama. They also have a great park with rides and shows......its called OWA.

I had a green bag for travel. I picked up activities all year around. As the kids got older there would be age appropriate magazines included. Also sketch pads for my daughter to draw on. Mad libs too. When they saw the green bag on the middle section of the backseat they really got excited!
