I couldn't ruin my living room decor with acoustic treatment. So I bought movable 4" 'FreeStand Bass Traps' from GIK Acoustics. Basically freestanding movable absorbtion. To my surprise, my fireplace, partially open left wall or early reflections weren't my biggest audible issue. It was the huge glass bay window behind my equipment. Instant audible improvement! Glass walls suck.

What about glassblock?
@AcousticFields3 жыл бұрын
Glass is glass for middle and high frequencies. Glass block would move less with lower frequencies due to density.

@@AcousticFieldsSo it could be a material that could be used for a study? wouldn't it create problems?

Thank you for these videos. I can attest that your foam sounds much better than Brand "S". My room's problem isn't glass, but drywall, but the same principles apply. Try some of Dennis' foam and you'll hear what I mean.

I have an asymmetrical room which causes bass to be reinforced on one side but not the other, what should I do?

S, With low end issues its all about square footage of coverage. look at our ACDA series.

What about the music studios that have the glass of the control room to see the room. 95% of studios are built like that
@AcousticFields4 жыл бұрын
G, That is a small surface area that is necessary for workflow. Not in use so much today. Talent prefers looking into the camera.
