Uncle Led and Fran are a must see in Northern California when they get together! Such talent and joy from these two amazing entertainers... This is ki ho'alu at its finest!

Once you get your ears around a short melodic line always ending in the same Hawaiian riff, their improvisation within those bounds is rich and intricate. I'm getting to love this music, which I first heard in the soundtrack of Descendants, a favorite movie.

A thumbs up and a shaka from me. Some of my best keiki memories are hearing slack key in Honolulu in the early 70s. Aloha!

I can be in a rotten mood but when I hear Mr. Kaapana begin playing I can’t help but smile and move to a better place. Slack key is the happiest music on earth!😁😁😁

I lived in Honolulu for over a decade, and always loved the slack key guitar tunes I heard on there. Now that I have started learning to play guitar, I am looking forward to learning some slack key songs.

Since 'finding' Slack Key via Acoustic Guitar I have watched as many vids of Ledward and Fran as I can. They are a great combination, watching Fran's face though when Led starts improvising is a treat. May they keep on playing together and entertaining the rest of us.

I've been playing alongside Led for about ten years and he still pulls out some surprises every time we get together. He's just one of those people with music inside that has to come out. Fran

You can't always tell where one ends and the other begins. Whatever, as LK says, "the music is always there."

Led has produced a slack key tutorial video with Homespun Music and Acoustic Guitar Magazine has published some tutorials on his playing. And Led teaches at George Kahumoku's music camp each year. It can seem daunting at first but in some ways slack key is the easiest way to play fingerstyle guitar. Fran
