Sharon, please understand that I'm strictly an amateur. I don't do concerts, I barely do gigs at all. When I'm in Hawai`i my public performances consist of two or three songs done as a guest at shows by my friends. I usually show up when Led Kaapana or Mike Kaawa play at Honey's, they invite me up for a song or two or three. When I'm in California these same guys stay with us when they play in northern California, and I sometimes open their shows with three songs or so. I'm really flattered by your interest, I hope we'll meet sometime, but even more I hope you'll get to Hawai`i and enjoy the beauty of this place. Fran

Victor, I've been using Elixir Nanoweb strings for many years now. They last so much longer than non-coated strings that the overall cost is less and I think the sound is better. I like the 80/20 formula, while Led prefers the Phosphor Bronze. I use HD Light gauge while Led uses Mediums. Fran

What's the over/under on the number of guitars Ledward owns?
@franguidry4 жыл бұрын
Not as many as one might think, I'd say. His main guitar is the Martin 000-16, followed by the little Guild. He has a Santa Cruz baritone and a Tacoma that don't get out much. And a couple of electrics. I think he still has the Martin cutaway dread that was his main for a while, but he sold the Taylor and the custom Ko`olau I believe. And of course there are a few `ukulele, with his main instruments being Chuck Moore beauties. Fran
