Yes a group of us, my brothers and sister, and some friends would walk to the lake with sandwiches, and a thermos of icy koolade to swim and play all day, on walk home, the halfway point had one of the first of the MacDonalds.We got 15 cent burgers, 20 cent cheeseburgers, fries were 10 cents and fried in tallow onstead of seed oils. It was great growing up in the 50s. Today I'm sad for what our grandkids generation has been given. Our generation started out with so much idealism, but the majority sold out for the gratification of personal gain, became faithless, selfish, and were surprised by the natural outcome of making little gods out of themselves. Today's world ia a direct result of selfish choices. This music takes me back to a simpler more hopeful time.
