Love the "Everybody Plays" series. It gives a broader perspective of how the guitar sounds with different players. Keep up the awesome work!

This is what I like about TAS...honest reviews, not everyone would or would not buy this and rating from different players as to the good or not so good!

Good to see Liz on here. She knows her stuff! Really kind of tough to review a guitar that is New and with New strings at the same time. They need time to vibrate for a few months. I would test guitars with a Shure 57 or 58 flat in the center. Your fancy mikes can be manipulated to sound any way you want them to. I know TAS would not do that but many people do! Food for thought. I really like this program. Karl.

Funny. I replaced the nut and saddle with unbleached bone and i changed the pickguard on mine. I changed the pins too. With less hollow ones. The bone helped a lot with the brightness. Now it sounds even better!

Hey, did you find that your changes made the guitar less bright? (In a good way)

I agree with Liz - spend this much on a guitar, and I would prefer bone nut & saddle. From experience, the TUSQ will wear (definite grooves cut into my saddle), and when I switched to bone, made big difference

This is an excellent series. Multiple intelligent perspectives, multiple styles and techniques. Can't wait to hear 'all y'all' review one of the Yamaha guitars.

Great video, I would love to see even more of these multiple points of view! I have a Furch Yellow Master’s Choice Gc-CR and love everything about it, it lives up to dream guitar status and is a joy to play every time I take it out of its case. Even after 1.5 years I can’t imagine a more perfect singer-songwriter guitar!! I love that they use TUSQ, have it on all my guitars and feel it’s super consistent sounding and I love the sound of my guitars with that product!

I absolutely love my Blue Plus Gc-cm. The only acoustic I’d trade it for is another Furch. Nice video. Liked seeing how the crew evacuated this guitar.

I bought this vintage Furch and it is loud & clear. When compared to my DM Martin, it drowns it out. Thanks for the review.

Thanks, TAS for the review. And review by several reviewers with different playing styles. For me, the comments by Liz seem to apply to my playing style the most. Not that I sing like she does.

Got myself a Fuch Rainbow, thats their custom series G-LC Thats a GA body with no cut away and Alpine spruce top ( Moon, Dolomite as Its also called often) and Cocobolo body Beautifully made and absolutely amazing to play Set uo straight out of the box was perfect, had my luthier check it out and they said there was nothinng to change Best way I can describe it Is a sperfectly balanced BUT its like every frequncy is also turbo boosted, the sustain and clarity just cut through You can finger pick , flat pick or strum , it all sounds great and you can dig right in there , Its l=easily holds its own against aven the Martin 40 series dreads There no mid range scoop like on the Taylor I own which Is iteslf a custom shop , a 2017 NAMM Grand Symphony Sinker Redwwof top with Amazonian Rosewood body THe Taylor is quite "Un-taylor" like, though, othing like the 814/914 factory GAs I tried whiuch I why I wanted it, especially this pretty rarae wood combinatiomn No V bracing either, performance instead So non of the thin high end Its really warm, rich with amazing overtones but has a distinct midrange scoop and a really great bass thump to it Perfect for SInging over But If I was going to a BG Jam then the Furch Is the choice , the best sounding guitar and most powerful I 've ever played to be honest and even thogh Its not "cheap" as a top end model , comparable Taylor/Martin specs and quality would add another $3k on the price easlily

Hello to Tyler! Enjoyed meeting you and everyone at the shop during my visit to Springfield this past Monday. My Furch Vintage 3 Dreadnaught is no where near that bright. So if any of the listeners here dislike the brightness of this one don’t let that deter you from trying one out.

Any chance it's the strings that make the difference? I have an SR/RS Vintage 2. I think of mine as being quite bright but deep low end. Great separation in tone. Compared to a Martin especially. If there was a 3 to compare to I'd have LOVED to played one the day I bought my 2. I haven't played anything I like as much as mine and started playing around 1974.

FYI you guys probably know but you have to use a polish fir satin guitar which Taylor makes otherwise using a typical polish will cause swirls you can’t get rid of

I had a V2 D-SR and a V2 OM and the only thing I didn't like about them was the finish- it's nice to look at- until you touch it. Every touch leaves a fingerprint that for some reason is very hard to wipe off. I ended up selling both of them.

i kept a furch red for about 2-3 months and I must say the sound changed quite a bit already. It gotten much warmer and full sounding, whilst keeping brightness. Definitly a guitar that can hang with guitars double or even triple the price, no doubt

Great way to review your instruments. I hear the tusq versus bone arguments but I doubt there is much difference in tone. I think the tusq saddles were meant to ensure a better , homogenous connection with ribbon pickups. Probably easier to tool and shape ?

@@AcousticShoppe Thanks, I wrote the comment before I got too far into the video, where clearly it's stated to be a dreadnaught. I think your content format here is quite good and different from other guitar "reviews". I particularly like the section that's basically would the guitarist buy this. Good insights for sure.

I agree that Furchs have the worst looking pickguards on planet earth ! I really don’t understand it ! I just got a vintage 1 today and before I even played it I got my heat gun out and took that awful pickguard off, I ordered one from Holter pickguards, the pickguards they use are definitely from China . It’s hard to believe that companies can do almost everything right ,then drop the ball on something like a pickguard , which has a huge bearing on looks !!!
