Dan, I'm only 3 feet and 4 inches tall myself, and if I'm in a store where there's stuff on a taller shelf that I need, I'll do exactly like you did to get the bottle of iced tea, and climb the best I can to get to where what I want is. I often will see if there's anyone else in the aisle with me, if there is, and they seem to be taller than me, I'll ask them to reach it down for me, if they're shorter than me or my same height, I'll ask them to spot me while I go up after it. Now my biggest issue is usually reaching down my jugs of cat litter, because they tend to be heavy and it seems like what I need is always all the way to the back most of the shelf, where I can't get at it now matter How hard I try, that one's Always frustrating for me.
