I love your mom!!! "Confession: I ate a few-delicious!" Your parents are so precious! Enjoy every second you have with them now. I've just come to realize in recent months the limitations of my folks activity levels and the things they can no longer do with us. It's harder than I thought it would-having always had hands-on parents like yours. Never take their willingness to assist and spend time with you for granted. Love your videos, sweet girl. ❤❤❤

Watching you Becky is such a relief for what's happening with the victims of Hurricane Helena. Their is so many needs for these people who are in desperate need for food and water and health care services. And doing without a roof over their heads cause they lost their homes and everything else. Watching you gives me a nice break from all the heartbreaking news coming on the tv.

You can put the beans in a pillow case and pound it on the floor and the shell so easy and pull the pods out and beans will be at the bottom of the pillow case. They shell themselves.

I grew up on a farm and we always had a big garden with all kinds of vegetables. After I left for college, my mom still had a big garden and continued canning and storing things throughout her early 70s. She had a stroke last year and died just after Christmas. Watching your videos with you and your parents working in the garden and all the preservation you do reminds me so much of my mom and her gardens. The memories are bittersweet but you help me remember how much my mom did to provide for me, my brother and my dad. Thank you for that Becky. ❤️

We used to have a bean shelling party on my mothers farm, we sat in rocking chair and shelled or snapped beans. All of the grandchildren went and spent the summer to work the gardens. They all still remember it with found memories. She planted a lot of purple hull which are prolific and the beans practically stand up for you to pick. The beans were crowder peas.

You have the best parents Becki! ❤❤❤ With a garden that size and a little one, I honestly do not know how you do it all! My husband and I were cleaning up our garden last night and some weeds were over taking our sweet potato area, and it became so overwhelming. To have the extra hands is such a blessing. Please share with us how you save your energy or better yet, where do you get your energy from? Good-golly-miss-molley! I wish I could plan the meals and pre prep the way you do. Anyways, wonderful day and harvest!

You might want to check and see if a seam ripper would work on shelling your beans. You can find them at any craft store. That way everyone gets a seam ripper and seeding goes so much faster if it works.
