I love grilled peanut butter and jelly. My mom had alzheimers, and it was so hard to get her to eat anything at times. One day I wanted to try something sweet, (which is what tastes best at her age then) and to get as many calories in her as I could, so I grilled it in butter. She loved it! I miss her every day. Thank you for bringing back a good memory. ❤

Your Mom is always with you. Been since 2002 losing my Dad, 2013 losing my Mom. I have found myself hearing their wise counsel and loving affirmations in my head more and more over the years, drowning out the pain of the loss and sorrow from the horrible Mesothelioma(Dad) and Rectal Cancer(Mom) that took them from us. Back in 1967 my mother was pregnant with twins and required constant bed rest. My dad made my other siblings and I grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as a quick and easy supper. We all loved it and we continued to enjoy these sandwiches throughout our childhood. The only problem was the jelly would get so hot and we’d have to open the hot sandwiches to let them cool a bit. It was hard to wait when it smelled so good and we were so hungry❤️

You're so awesome to watch friend! I had an emergency surgery and was hospitalized for 10 days, I have a very very long road to recover and a month of healing before the next surgery. Then a month of healing after that. I am finally home but have zero energy to do things and I need to stay in bed to not reopen the wound. My husband is being amazing and doing bandage changes and working and doing everything in the home I would usually do. It's a lot to put on someone plus all the Dr. Appointments he's got to get me to. Good healthy Meals are just not happening. The crazy thing is I usually have a stocked freezer and pantry with premade, just throw in crock pot or oven meals ready to go. I was at the tail end of using up everything in the freezer and pantry so I could do a refresh. So I am totally unprepared for this healing. I need good, high protein, filling meals and your crock pot meals are perfect. I usually send some to others when they have a need. Nobody is helping us though. It makes me sad but it won't stop me from continuing doing it for others when I can. Anyway, thank you for giving great meal ideas, great instructions, and great friendship through your videos. I sorely need them right now. Even when doing a clean out, make sure you keep a couple meals stocked just in case! Again thank you so much. You remind me of the kindness of my grandmother and great aunts and I wish I had them here to help care for me.

Sorry to hear that Murphys Law dealt you a blow. Would your husband do the crockpot meals? Another cooking show I watch is Farmers Wife Homestead (as she is in NZ too) but she had to go in for surgery and also has other health issues and did a show on cooking and prepping for the freezer for easy meals when out of hospital. Were some good easy options. Of course she knew it was coming rather than it being emergency situation. Might give some tips though. I hope that you do get some help. Can you order meals in to help out.

I’m Australian, I asked a similar question about Italian sausage on another channel and got a similar answer. I’ve managed to find Italian sausage in some specialty places but it’s a lot more expensive that most of the meat I would usually buy, so I’ve found a recipe to season ground (minced) pork myself to keep the price down and try some of the recipes using Italian sausage I’ve seen here and on other channels/websites. The one I’m going to try is on Allrecipes, but I’m sure there are others and people can tweak the seasonings to their taste of course

I make my own because of allergies to certain ingredients and it comes out great! You need to find the right recipie for you, but I make three an Italian sausage spice blend, a spicy Italian sausage spice blend, and a breakfast sausage spice blend. My favorite Italian blend includes orange zest and it’s delicious! I modified it from a very in depth recipe that has instructions for even casing your own sausage (which I skip). I’ll try to find and link the one I use!

Well from our wee home in Scotland to yours. I love these videos I learn so much and even sometimes just an idea and adapt to my family but I really enjoy your videos. Its beurre manié that's equal parts flour to fat (butter) it's like a paste and then used to thicken many stews and dishes alike you mix it not cook it first, you just mix and add it to stews etc. A roux is the same equal parts but flour and butter are cooked first, and then liquid is added to that. Well that's how I was taught xx

Hi Becky... I loved your sandwich recipe! It looks like you made your honey mustard, if yes your Recipe would be amazing.... And im impressed with how sharp your knives are and how thin you can slice onions pickles and how easily you are able to cut through Raw meat!

Becky, I tried the salsa verde beef recipe with a pork loin substitution. It was amazing! We had it with rice the first night, on tortillas the next, and then had sandwiches for lunch a third day.❤ 😋
