1970 Toronto to Miami and back in a 150. Building commercial hours. Slept under the wing.

The 3 take always from a 150 is #1 limited speed, #2 limited capacity & limited range. The pluses are endless, Low maintenance, low fuel consumption, one of the safest planes ever made & endless fun. So you must have hade a grate time! Wish I was there!

Personally, I prefer its "more modern" successor, the 152, which I think is the perfect compromise, in terms of being inexpensive to purchase, low maintenance, safety and reliability etc. while still giving somewhat reasonable "performance".

#1: limited speed- I say longer opportunity enjoy the journey! #2: Simplify your life and this won't be a problem for you. #3: limited range- lucky me! Plenty of opportunities to stay hydrated and go to the bathroom, and meet the wonderful people at FBOs across the country who share my passion for flight. I love my 150. Her name is Tweeter.

I think of it like this. The 172 got me my ticket. The 150 I bought made me a pilot.

Nice paint scheme, smart looking plane. Nice video. Flying is magic to me. Both windows open on day 2, 2 and a hundred air con works well.

I learned to fly in 1969 in a Cessna 150 with the Albrook Air Force Base Aero Club. Flew a few cross countries up and down the Isthmus of Panama.

I'm a simple guy. I see a Cessna 150 video, I click like. I hear Scorpions and Muse on the video? I subscribe.

Beautiful 150 you have there. My generations J-3. Love flying the 150/152!

How did you go from NYL to TUS? There's a ton of restricted airspace and high elevation. On another note, I just bought me a C150J 2 months ago and I live 15 NM from MWA.

Where did you leave out from and where did you end up? I live in Georgia and have a 150. I’d love to take off across the country some day

@@capt_jack9949 Great vid, so you did, over 562 miles a day, range is about 300miles and cruise speed is almost 100miles. So were you doing 225 mile hops or you had an extra fuel tank?

How well does it do at high density altitude?
@capt_jack99492 жыл бұрын
Not great. With barely 100hp and loaded to near MTOW with full fuel, oil and survival gear, the performance was underwhelming. Operating out of some high altitude airports in the middle of summer didn’t help either. And I was barely able to make it to 7,500 MSL during cruise

Too much is sped up. 150's are quiet and smooth. Three times the cruise speed of a Goodyear Blimp is plenty. Realistic makes the best video.
