If you watch it as Gwen's story, it works. She lost a friend, she found a new friend, missed that friend, resented it, lost her dad's trust, found a new group who she thought understood her, they had her buy into the game plan, she broke the rules, stuff happens, she realizes she was wrong, she goes on a redemption run, forms a new band, goes to save her friend.

I was so happy I went into this completely blind, the opening twist at the start of the first film was spoiled for me, so this time I made sure to see it on the first showing of the first day it came out, and looked at nothing related to it online until it was safe, what a phenomenal movie, easily the top one I've seen this year

I'm Indian American and I found the scenes involving Indian Spider-Man (Pavitr Prabhakar) as being fantastic. My family is from nowhere near Mumbai but I'm aware enough of Mumbai's traffic problem, lol. And the "This is where the British stole all our stuff" bit had me busting a gut laughing. I even recognize the "Chai tea is tea tea" joke from the works of Vir Das and Hasan Minhaj. Still pretty funny. I also really really liked the new character design for Indian Spider-Man in this film. It feels like a distinctly Indian look to a Spider-Man outfit that doesn't come across as tacky. It certainly is league's better to the costume that Indian Spider-Man has in the comics, which is just the normal Spider-Man suit but with big white helicopter pants. This Indian Spider-Man's outfit and look is superior in every way compared to the comics version. I also really liked the personality of Pavitr Prabhakar in the film, feeling very distinctive and cool from the other Spidey characters while also being likeable. Can't wait to see him again in "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" . On a completely different side note, One of my most favorite parts was seeing baby Mayday Parker and seeing Peter Parker happily married to Mary Jane Watson. For my fellow ling suffering MJ/Peter OTP fans, this was an oasis in a very long severe drought/desert. If you know, you know. Watching all those scenes of baby Mayday and Peter B. Parker made me want to scream Hallelujah in the theater.

As an artist I enjoyed the artistic choice of each and every Spider-man like Gwen, parvati prabhakar and Spider punk. What I like about Gwens's universe is that it reminds me of watercolour like how the colours bleed into eachother when an emotional sense happens.

What I love about this movie is that the story is both massive in scope yet very human. The stakes are insane, but at the same time they're personal. And you get both sides of the main conflict. You understand both Miguel and Miles on the conflict, the best kinds of stories. It was also done very well in The Orville (which I reccomend highly) in a Season 3 episode, no spoilers if you haven't seen it.

I don’t think there was a big disparity in terms of the quality of the soundtracks of these two movies. I just think there was a big difference between how they were used and what kind of emotions they wanted to convey. I would definitely say the first one had more impactful sound direction, but the new one definitely feels like it’s going for something a little more subtle which is cool too.

I feel like the " Spiderman disagreeing Issue " wouldnt be a problem if Miguel had this situation as classified, I mean He was secretive with gwen first time they and met and Spiderman is always keeping secrets to protect the people, so it's not out of his character. Since he dealt with other spider people in other multiverses, he would fully people aware that other spider people would react similarly to miles in his situation of 'not letting people die'.' Having that string of dialogue would have removed that issue, while also not changing anything of the story or character choices made in the movie. It's also worth adding that since he is the one fixing the multiverse, and he does display a big understanding of the multiverse it wouldnt change that the SpiderPeople to fully put their trust in him.

Gwenxmiles- Absolutely loved the movie, the animation was fire, action was peak, all the new and returning characters were phenomenal, so many scenes that just punch you in the gut- my only big gripe is that it ended! *I want to see more* which isn’t really a bad thing. This movie was just next level, absolute visual masterclass, Disney and DC have nothing on these guys from any filmmaking aspect (visuals, story and fan service) they know their stuff in and out!! So excited for the next one!! Hopefully they'll extend the story a bit so it's not just like the final 3rd of a movie. I'm sure the cliffhanger was made with a big purpose. gwenXmiles forever :)

27 times holy moly i don't think i watch anything in my life for more then 10 times , but I'm happy for you that you loved the first one . Let's see , this movie was amazing , all the frames were a paint the animation went above and beyond , the music was bang on , the story was good , the characters were great , my favorites were Peter B Parker and his lovely Mayday ( that will be me when i will be 35 ) Miguel O'Hara great antagonist who is right and i support him and of course The Spot who I'm sorry for ( idk it just makes me sad watching him ) but he was great villain that i wait to see more in the next movie . The only downside of the spidervers success is that companies are gonna try to copy its style without caring for what made it good. I want more movies like the spidervers movies but not more spidervers if you get what I mean like puss in boots 2 snd the new tmnt movie are very much inspired by into the spider-verse but they don't feel like their trying to be the new spidervers which is a great thing! Their using things from the movie in their own way, but what worries is that a lot of companies are gonna try to replicate the spider-verse movies without actually caring for what made it good in the first place

This movie gave me everything I loved about the first movie and just cranked it to the max! I freaking loved this movie so much that it's my favorite movie of all time. Nothing can top this movie for me. 10/10 Beautiful movie. And yes, I did give a little happy cheer when I saw Spectacular Spider-Man. One of my favorite parts of Spider Verse in general is that it inspired me to pursue my passion for animation. Since then, I've been growing MY YT channel and kept on practicing animation. One pleasant surprise was seeing a KZbinr I know create a Lego Spider-Man cameo! That blew me away. I don't really have anything else to say other than I loved this movie, GwenxMiles forever, and avoid bagels.

I think my favorite part of the movies is that they take it from the perspective of Gwen which is why we see many “spoilers” at the beginning when she’s explaining how Miles is hurting and she hurt him. ALSO I like to believe since this is the perspective of Gwen she actually saw Miles’s hand move closer to hers on that roof top. This movie is perfection🔥

All us comic readers Can love these movies at an entirely different level. I love that Gwen is given a larger role, I love/hate Miguel O’Hara (refer to edge of time/Mary Jane death reveal to show my opinion on him in this movie), I love that Myles and Rio’s relationship is fleshed out. I even called the Miles Anomoly reveal months ago! I love Hobie and Pavitr as the little and big brother types to Miles. And I just love Miles story and how it sticks it to all people who say miles isn’t Spider-Man. He learned to wear the mask. Now he’s defining what it means to him. And he’s breaking the status quo enforced by both Miguel and the fans. Like he said, he’s doing his own thing. Edit-12:15 I guess jaxblade beat me to it!😅

I really loved this movie, especially because I was on both sides, first of all, I agree with Miguel that you can't change some things no matter how hard you tried, especially after seeing what happened to him, but at the same time, if I were in Miles's place, I would also do my best to save the ones I love even if everyone is against me, so I understand both sides and I can't wait to see how they will resolve that conflict in the second part.
