The live acoustics have to be a factor. Songs like these (We are the world, artists for haiti, etc) always sound thrown together and awful.

I don't think it was performed as well as it could have been, but in it's way it displays what the Beatles music should always do - bring people together. No matter your background, race, style, or anything it's always best to remember that we're all human and sharing this world and we need to get along and make the best of it together. The musical styles may have clashed, but it was the thought that counts.

Very messy discordant version but you usually expect that with so many different singers with different styles. When I first heard the original from The Beatles honestly my buttocks were literally quivering like jelly but this version didn't have an effect anything like that. Some good singers in there though.

Omg! This is an exquisitely beautiful song, and they should have combined sensitively to do it justice. They all "did their thing" whilst happening to be singing the same song. Only the first woman to sing struck the right chord with the depth of meaning in her beautiful voice.

It's good to have all this superstars paying tribute to their Gods, The Beatles marked an era and none of this artists would have ever been the same without the Quartet.. The performance was not a brilliant piece of music, but the feeling was alright, I specially liked watching Billy Idol an Billy Joe by the side.. Brian Wilson standing with the class of a gentlemen, and Stevie.. oh Stevie, you are so tender with that harmonica... DEFINETLY A PERFORMANCE STRAIGHT TO THE HEART (nor the ears?)
