Acrylic abstract with spatula, oilpastels and derwents

That`s the way i like to paint.
Since I have been asked on facebook, what I use for materail, here is a more detailed explanation.
I paint with acrylics and especially with spatulas. For my marks, I take charcoal pencils at the very beginning of the picture, which I then rub with acrylicmedium, paint, paint and water. During the painting process and in the end I take oilpastels, derwents and chinamarker

Conny - I loved watching this! Is that paper taped to a board? If so, what kind of board were you using? Love your marks and your color palette. It was so fun watch your composition take shape! ❤️

Dear Jackie, thank you for the kind words. I took a strong watercolor paper (fabrinao artistico 760g) and glued it to a wooden board with UHU pads. Since I prefer to paint on paper and standing up, I always stick my papers on a wooden board like this. The Uhu Pads allow me to remove the paper without leaving any residue. Kind regards Conny

Hi Claudine, thank you very much for your words. I am very happy that you like my style. I make the black lines with a thick charcoal pencil. `Cretacolor Art Chunky` is the name. That one is really thick and black. Charcoal is not waterproof. if you want to keep the lines, then you have to use a fixative. But sometimes is really nice to let the charcol lines a little bit smear. Hope that helps. Kind regards Conny
