Dear Kevin, I love the way you paint. You are a great artist in my opinion. Sometimes I fall asleep as I watch you painting and dream myself painting like you. It is amazing what you just do. Also want to thank you for encouraging us to paint. However, although I have followed the steps you continuously mentioned throughout, I have always had trouble to create the same effects or textures you created when you touch the canvas with brushes. Kevin I have been use to oil painting since I was 12. How do I blend with acrylics so that it don’t look like a paint by number? Which acrylic brushes do you prefer and what brand of acrylics? I also need a good blender brush and fan brush. I would also like to know have you ever used a “Floating Medium” with acrylics? Apparently it makes the paint stay wet longer for better blending!

Can I use a medium in the spray bottle instead of water. If I can, would I need to "wash out" the sprayer if the bottle needs to sit overnight? Thank You for answering my question. And, Thank You for sharing your techniques with us. 😉

Hi kevin, I was wondering, did you prime your canvas with white gesso, or did you paint straight on the canvas?

Thanks for the question. On this one I did not coat the canvas with gesso. However, it have been enjoying using this new "Foundation Medium" to coat the canvas like gesso and also make the paints flow more smoothly than adding water. You have some great ideas but I noticed that, as the painting progresses, suddenly details appear without explanation. Do you have tutorials in acrylics where this does not happen? For us beginners, understanding how and why those details were made is rather important.

So Kevin... do you like acrylics... or oils better? I notice a lot of artists on You Tube mostly paint with oils. Because I can tell that you are not quite used to acrylic painting... you appear "acward" with it by misting TOO often... that will OVER dampen your pallet and canvass... ha!! I know... I paint with acrylics ONLY. OILS ... well they are just TOO OILY for me. I LOVE the transparent vibrancy of the características of acrylics. Plus I like working with water solvable paints only.
