They’re beautiful , for being 18 she did a great job. The nail itself lacks the an apex which is what makes the nails strong. Maybe suggest for her to watch some videos on how to build the apex on longer extensions so your nails will last longer & won’t break at the stress point

I add three coats /levels of bottle builder gel on top . First swipe goes down the middle.. just the middle don’t cover the nail.. you flip the nail to help it self level.. then you do the other two coats normal(still flipping over to level) It gives the center of the nail strength . Mine last a month

@@gennasharples9409 so when you get acrylics you’ll notice a slight rise in the acrylic this is for strength, so the longer the nail the higher this rise would be, to support the natural nail underneath, add balance as if u dont add this it can stress and damage underneath

But honestly as a licensed nail tech im so tired of seeing folks going to unlicensed "nail artists".. this is an easy way to damage or injure your nails, possibly permanently....or get a lifelong permanent allergy from improper product use or application.

A nail tech license is roughly 6 months cosmetology about a year and a half so depending on when she graduated high school and where her birthday fell she would be more likely to be at least 19 to be license. I know a girl that ran an illegal mobile nail salon out of high school and my comment was more so a warning to anyone who gets the idea so they know to go to school first

I wish I could find a home based nail tech. They're definitely the best I've seen on others but impossible in my town. So have to settle for high priced tech salon ones which are great but would love different designs and art. Salon's can not do unfortunately. Feel I've found the best tech yet but they cost! For nothing serious on nails.

Maybe there’s an issue with communication? Some techs just don’t seem to have a knack for liquid to powder ratio. They apply too thick or too thin. Worst is when they get the monomer all over your fingers. But since this happens to her all the time I wonder if she tells the techs to keep it thin. Maybe they aren’t used to that request and thin ends up flat?
