Dip is acrylic- she probably just didn’t wanna waste her products to dip one persons nails in em or just didn’t have the tools/supplies to do dip

You can use most dip powders with monomer and apply them like a acrylic so maybe she did use the dip powder but applied it differently

You couldn’t have just said you asked for dip when she was putting the acrylic on it’s not that hard

As far as the product itself, Dip is only finer ground acrylic so much so they advertised its universal for both brush method ( what I'm assuming your meaning calling it acrylic) and polish method ( layering the liquid then powder then liquid) I would have been more agrivated that she went from a colored acrylic base to gel polish as some people don't get neutral acrylic with gel polish for a reason. allergies or work conditions may cause gel to peel but do nothing to acrylic.

I spoke to a nail manufacturer who makes all the items in for nails. He said dip and Acrylic or the same thing. The powder is literally the same.Just the method on which it supplied is different.
