I do my own nails. Been doing them for about 4 years and people keep telling me I need to start a business, but I’m not social at all. And I don’t mean like I hate people, but I literally have to force myself to interact with people and it’s mentally exhausting because I have social anxiety and prefer to just be alone most of the time. I love doing my nails though and I love doing lots of art. I just don’t know how to get over the anxiety ands I definitely don’t want to take medication for it. I’m only social on Sundays when I go to karaoke and after I’m done and go home, I just shut down because it takes so much out of me.

hmm maybe if you start a business, you can market yourself as “the quiet nail tech” or do tutorials online? i do understand that a lot of people use their beauty service time as a therapy or social time but i do think there are a lot of people who appreciate a guaranteed silent my appointment 🫶🏾💕

Exactly how I feel. How I am. I've been doing nails for 3 years and it's hard to keep conversations going I really don't know what to talk about 😅😂 I've asked all of the get to know me questions, job, kids, etc but after that idk. It holds me back. Not a lot of clients like silence

honestly i’ve been wanting to get my nails done but i hate the social part 😭 like the idea of sitting w a stranger and being forced to talk to them just makes it more awkward to me. you could definitely market yourself as the quiet nail tech and just put some music in the background or smth yk
