I’m confused, these are acrylic nails, but you use gelish gel polish? May I ask why you used gel on acrylic? Wouldn’t it have been better to just use all gel on your nails? I hope to get these done today! :)

You can definitely use just Gel directly on your nails. You don’t have to get acrylics to achieve this style it works on gel nails as well. I just wanted to do mine acrylic. The reason people use gel polish is because it works as an adhesive since it leaves a sticky layer( a.k.a inhibition layer) for the chrome powder to stick on. 😊 I hope this helps also thank you for watching ❤️

The exact chrome powder I used in the video I bought from my local nail store but the Amazon ones I listed I’ve heard really great things about :)

Muchas gracias ! ☺️ El top coat que use no tiene capa de inhibición pero la pintura de gel que use de “Gelish” si. Primero pongo las capas de gel y luego agregó el polvito de chrome sin limpiar la capita de inhibición y después terminó con el top coat. Perdón si confundí un poco 🥲
