Acrylic paint//watercolor//gouache

Hey guys :) I hope you are all doing well! In this video I am painting with watercolor, gouache and acrylic paint. The background and clothes were painted with acrylic paint as the base and gouache on top and the face and hair were painted with watercolor and gouache. I had a lot of fun with this mixed media illustration and I hope to explore this combination more in the future!

i love how good you are at drawing fabric and the folds in the pattern. and i see you tend to draw white/ asian/people with lighter skin tones but i was wondering if you ever draw darker skin tones and if not i challenge you to do a portrait of a darker skin person of color. i would just love to see your interpretation of a beautiful black girl with some kind of african/tribal cloth clothing.

You can easily make yourself a wet palette for acrylics (just a sealable box I used a lunchbox and a wet towel, or a sponge which I got and some transparent paper, so the paper is slightly wet from the sponge and you can keep paints fresh for days sometimes)

I likethe fact that she is colorful. First I thought, I liked the only blue and red scarf a lot with the white line. But now I'm really thankful for the other colors as well. Thanks for the inspiration and try not to be too harsh on yourself. Even if you did not like the first result, it doesn't mean the viewers wouldn't enjoy it. I nnever used acrylics before but I imagine I would mess around with them a lot. Sometimes it is nice when somebody does it for you ;) /instead of you. Schaut gut auf euch!

Thanks and yeah you are probably right :) I do want to work on a more muted palette and less stylizing in the next couple of weeks tho. It has been bothering me for a bit now and I don't feel like I made any progress in fixing it 😅

Würdest Du vielleicht in Erwägung ziehen irgendwann andere Altersgruppen/Familienstand auch zu malen? Ich meine Schwangere oder Frauen mit Kindern, oder Leute, die ihren Zenit schon hinter sich haben? Es wäre für mich total spannend zu sehen, wie würde sowas in Deinem Stil ausschauen. Gute Nacht!

When the camera zoomed out after you finished the scarf/headband I was totally blown away, it looks SO good!! I love the way you combined acrylics into this painting! And as someone who is also struggling to learn acrylics (plus all other kinds of painting but that's besides the point) it's at least good to know I'm not alone haha, I can't imagine trying to do an acrylic portrait :o Kudos to you :) I'm excited for your new prints or shop updates or more videos, or whatever you decide to focus your efforts on!

Tatsächlich sind wir grade mittendrin 😂 Ich hab gestern spontan ein Video gemacht weil ich dachte vllt freuen sich die Leute die jetzt zuhause sind aber ich hab nur eine Skizze gemacht und hatte das video schon komplett geschnitten als ich anfing es kacke zu finden und "mäh die Skizze ist nix besonderes und bah das Video ist kacke deswegen" 😂 ich lad es heute trotzdem hoch

here in india, we have LOOOOAAADS OF TOILET PAPER and no one rlly uses it that much cuz...we have...hand showers...(am i being weird and gross??)
