Geeze some people are just sad. Don't listen to some of the awful comments below. People don't understand that there is no right way for your art to look, it's just art. Anyway, I think you did a great job, keep it up. Do what is fun for you.

Why does the net bring out such rudeness? It's ok to critique anyone's work, because art is subjective in many ways. But a critique should be constructive and not cruel. I see the same on piano forums.

Watching the videos and listening to the narrative, it appears the narrators demeanor seems to be super calm. Which seems to fit with the task of painting. I am not sure that I am calm enough to take it up as a hobby! I’m a wood worker at heart. Great video, very cool how you layer the colors, building a complete image.

The whole idea of art is to not create a photograph, if you want that, then go take a picture. Look in any art gallery and see for yourselves that photorealistic art does not win prizes (unless its for a photorealistic portrait). This is amazing.

Hi Matt I am a member of your course and I would like to attempt this but I went to the page and there is no reference photo it would be really great if you supplied a reference photo so I'm not just following blindly and can get more of a grip about colour, value etc on my own as well as your wonderful instruction also could you show how you transferred the image on the canvas or did you draw directly on it Thanks

So far acrylics is all I've ever worked with and I love them, I'm now experimenting with watercolor pencils but (as you can see from my videos) I'm still getting the hang of them and will need to practice a lot more. Anywho, it's refreshing watching the different style of painting you use with acrylics, I'm inspired to try it . (I am very much of a blendy person, it bugs me when individual strokes are noticeable) you make it look easy and more importantly, it looks great! New fan here! :)

To anyone saying shit about this- You like hipper realism therfor you are boring. It's like liking only hit pop songs. You relate to the obvious, to what everyone likes, without looking beyond. What's the point of following stupid techniques? Learning tecniques for me is honestly like copying. It's something everyone can do but bringing yourself to the art is something only a true artist would do. What about you upload some videos of YOUR paintings and not just cyber bully Real artists that you are clearly jealous of? Im sick of pathetic people like you. This artist is amazing

判官地獄 oils don't dry anywhere nearly as quickly as acrylics do. This allows for more blending and softness in the painting than acrylics allow for

Acrylics are harder to master. If work is horrible, its the fault of the artist. Examples of good acrylic art can be seen from Craola Simkins, Bob Petillo, Todd Schorr, etc. With acrylics, you're either really good, or bad like the vast majority of stuff that is out there.
