Those are beautiful! Thanks for sharing! I was watching because I have 2 tumblers that were painted by a child with acrylic paint & I need to epoxy them so I was trying to make sure the acrylic paint isn't going to smear or anything when I do the epoxy. Your video didn't show that part but I watched the whole video & very much enjoyed it anyway! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Green is my favourite color, love the green you made. Tumbler is perfect. Agree with you, might be a little heavy on the green for the canvas, but that still leaves it practically perfect.

I always worry about wasting paint, but the canvas under the cup is a genius idea!
@Oonagh724 жыл бұрын
I have a thought and am wondering if it is a good idea. I was thinking of tilting the turner and pour while the cup is soo if so the paint will run down the cup. ( I haven’t bought my cup turner yet.) I have learned multi surface paint doesn’t need to be sealed. It can be either bake cured or wait cured, and that paint will not budge.

On the canvas, the edges look like the paint sort of disappeared. I’m very new at pouring but this has happened to me. The paint in the middle looks great but the edges look pale and dry. How do you fix that? Also, so you resin coat your canvases after the pour dries? Thanks.
@ArtisticallyRandom4 жыл бұрын
You can use a bit more paint on the canvas to help keep the edges from looking so thin. The canvas, you can resin coat it if you decide, but you can also seal with a clear spray paint or varnish or a brush on varnish. I would definitely seal the tumbler with resin though for longevity and durability.

How much paint do you suggest for pours like this? & if you do this with resin, how much do you use if your tray holds 8oz?
@MixedMediaGirl7 ай бұрын
I use approximately 1 ounce of paint for every 16 square inches of canvas, for a resin pour it would be however much you need for the mold you're using.

It depends on the resin really, but for the stone coat countertops epoxy I'd say dry to the touch in 12-16 hours
