awesome tutorial. My only issue was, the bloom effect doesn't work the same way as you're showing. even when i connect it to the render node and the rgbkeynode it still has that default background image showing through the camera perspective. no clue why this is happening and cant find any other information online on how to get rid of the default image. either way thanks for the great tut

ahha ok solved it, i added the render input into slot 1 input of the bloom node, there is also a slot 0, that's the correct input. not sure why slot 1 had that image showing through but when i switch to slot 0 it all works as shown in your tut.

love the tutorial. i want to learn to create some abstract visuals for my music, is touchdesigner enough? or should i learn blender? im confused on the capability of each one.

they are both great- blender is better for more complex modeling & sculpting but can't do real-time rendering like touchdesigner. each has limitations, but for doing live visuals it's touchdesigner hands down

You could do it in post effects, like monochrome top and then a lookup top and in the second input a ramp or a noise with the colors you want
