This is a step by step easy tutorial using Touch Designer. TouchDesigner is a node based visual programming language for real time interactive multimedia content. hello! I love your tutorials!!!!! They are really beautiful and very inspiring... I am very grateful for them. About the movement of the tube in this one, I think that if it measures 1000 and has 100 rows, it will be ok if we multiply the number of rings that we want to go through in the loop by 10, but better by 10.1, in order not to repeat the first frame, and then divide it by the number of frames in the entire loop. For example, if we want to go through 4 rings in the loop (speed) and the loop is 600 frames long: 4 *10.1= 40.4 ; 40.4 / 600 = 0.0673333333(but we can round to 0.0674), so in the tz parameter we can type----> me.time.frame*0.0674 to get the endless loop. Hi there! Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial! I have a question: I want the composition to be 720x1280 (same as 1080x1920), a story for Instagram. Can feedbackEdge be resized? The image is squashed, it is like 560x560 and I don't see how to resize it. Thanks, I always do your tutorials !! Greetings :)

Great to hear you make the tutorials! Remember to tag us on Instagram ;) Set your renderTop resolution 720x1280 (in the common page), then go inside your feedback edge COMP by double clicking it, look for the compositeTOP called comp1, go to the Transform tab, change Fixed Layer parameter to Input 1, that should make the trick ;) let me know if that's what you wanted.

This has not been a good first impression for me as the low-resolution 720p quality isn't as readable as I'd like on my 4k monitors. Also, the backing music has a tom drum that is too repetitive and too upfront (loud) that detracts from your lesson. I hope to see this improved upon as isn't 1080p the current minimum for good quality?

how are you able to get the pull down on translate on 4:14?

You select the null CHOP, so its green. Then you click in the star in the corner (or just press 'a') to make it viewer active. Once its viewer active you press on the inside the null CHOP and hold it , then while holding the click you point to the translate and then it appears the parameter window, and you point to the translate Z and release . Then you select the CHOP Reference option and that should be it. Does this answer your question ?

Warning to beginners: animating the Transform SOP is forcing your CPU to handle the loop when you want this to be handled on the GPU instead for performance reasons.
