[Act 1] Solo Death Knight (pal/wiz) - Phase Spider Matriarch Gone Wrong - Honour Mode

Hi!
I had a great plan coming into this fight. I was going to take out the eggs sneakily, surprise the Phase Spider Matriarch and take it down insanely smooth. It did not go as I planned. To make things even worse I played really bad when trying to take down the last two spiders. But when playing on Honour Mode things does not always go as planned (or good).
At the moment we are Level 5. Two Levels of Oathbreaker and Three Levels of Necromancer.
Thus begins a new Baldur's Gate 3 Solo Honour Mode journey! What I mean with Death Knight is a multiclass of Oathbreaker and Necromancer. Since animate dead is a Level 5 spell it will take us awhile to get it. Hopefully Oathbreaker with some thematic Necromancy spell will give the character the right feel.

This was great lol I think Honour Mode also makes everything feel more life-or-death (i mean it kinda is), so the player gets nervous and ends up making more tiny mistakes that could cost them the run. Even then, I wouldn't even think about mage hand for free-action potions and the like, that's smart! Good job! I'm subbing :P

Hah thank you and glad you enjoyed it! I was dreading the worst when the combat started. After surviving I was thinking to myself that I wished I could re-record it because it was an embarrassing fight for me 😅

That mage hand trick with the potion was pretty nifty, I'll have to steal that strategy.

I forgot how I came to use it, but action economy sure is important when doing solo runs so go nuts with it :)

Very nice, I cheesed it with a rogue(thief) sneak archery build but this is way more proper.

Oh nothing goes to plan here, eh? Detect invis, forgetting to switch to melee after shooting, and mini-spiders just warping around all over the place. XD

Loving the vids and you're definitely WAY more strategic than I've been haha But I do have to ask, why not just burn the web from under the matriarch when it was at 24hp instead of melee attacking it?

@@FriendlyLich Fair enough lol I doubt I could make it half as far as you have, so definitely not trying to pick. I'd just done that fight the other night and once I realized how much fall damage she takes, I cheesed the life out of her haha

Great vids! I have a question. Why have you used two misty step scrolls instead of just walking on spider net wearing those boots that prevent you from being trapped?
