I just did this exercise. When I was recording it I thought well my eyes, expressions etc all stayed the same even during the lying part. THEN I watched it back and realized I’m very expressive with my eyebrows. EXCEPT when I was lying!!!!! I couldn’t even tell while recording. That’s nuts.

I really liked how he talked about when your talking to someone and not really listening just waiting for your line to go I really relate to that he said just listen and say your line I really felt that 😂 I'm going to keep that In mine luv vids

Wow, this made a huge paradigm shift of I looked at good and bad actors.

Listening: Dont think bout your lines when the other actor talks really listening to them and responding to them. Talk more to your friends and dont be on your phone. Record yourself maybe 10 Minutes Tell a true story something that happened today or will happen in the future. Build your comfort up. After 3 Minutes you start Talking 3 minutes a fake story then at the end again the truth (dont mind my spelling I am from germany lol) Life in the eyes! Do it for the whole week. You are gonna find when it is right or when it is fake. you can see it in your eyes. Eyes are so important.

You should just ask your friends to take sudden pictures of you while you're laughing, listening, talking about somthing you're passionate about or angry or sad. That way you can see it for the actual way others see it.

Some of what you're saying about phones are so true. I'm the only person my age I know that doesn't have a phone, and often I can't interact with others because they are to busy on their phone.

If you’re blind in one eye can you be an actor? And can u still have life in the blind eye?
@TheActorsAcademy5 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. I knew an actor in your same situation and it didn’t really effect him at all. Of course it can make certain moments more difficult than others, but overall it never bothered him.

I agree about the phones. Thank you for bringing that up. As a women, I really miss face to face conversation and people who are truly interested in You. I struggle with eye contact a little and I try to put myself in situations where I have to look at someone in the eyes, it helps and I know it’s good to do it, if they look up. It’s hard to find those people.
