Reference Aotearoa, I have a book that was written by my ancestor that was published in 1850 that categorically states one of the names used by Maori was Aotearoa. It also gives other names used. The book is “Te Ika a Maui” and was written by the Reverend Richard Taylor. It was he who in fact actually scribed the Treaty.
