Jackson is a great player, I think people miss the point when they’re addressing criticisms towards him. This seems to have been the story with Jackson In the past and then reality hits the moment he costs us a vital game lol. It’s fine not to score every game, the main issue is missing easy chances that end up costing the team, that’s where Jackson’s criticism comes from. It’s hard to ignore that.

I love seeing Jackson with this much confidence, i think he’s gonna surprise everyone this season. And i have to say it, Caicedo is looking worth the price every time he steps on the pitch now. You can see the boys starting to gel, I’m honestly blown away by how much quicker this seems to be happening with Maresca. If we keep this up than top 4 is def realistic. With only 3 games so far I’m hesitant to say we are 100% back, but we’re clearly on the right track. I’ll still hold off on really assessing anything until Christmas/New Years.

Good analysis but we can disagree on the Joao Felix point as we have to be careful with passing judgement on a player just because we have high expectations of him. Joao is very young too and I think was very good when he came on and once he understands his team mates, he will get even better.

I’m not a Noni hater at all but if you can’t recognize that Noni is a selfish player then I don’t know what to tell you. Tracking back and making runs to potentially get the ball are part of the game. When he has the ball and has to make a decision on what to do with it he often takes the selfish choice. Sometimes it pays off but when it doesn’t you need to be called out for it.

In regards to Noni, the end justifies the means. It is only a problem because he didn't score. Palmer elected for the shot in the same situation for his goal and no one cares. Neto equally ignored passing to Noni afterwards in similar position. And Enderick scored in UCL in a worse situation. Main issue here is that he didn't score

Well, the occasion you sited was not the only time in the game neither is it the first time he's acted selfish since he scored the hattrick. He was in a difficult corner to get the ball pass the GK, Palmer was literally on the penalty spot free- it would have been an easy shot for Palmer than him. Felix missed two goals because he was cold when those chances came. Same as Nkunku. Most players need a few minutes to get up to game speed. However, we can't deny that he is a baller. I disagree wholeheartedly with Niinii's "disappointment" in Felix. Apart from not scoring, he played very well overall. The same cannot be said of Noni who tried to do his best Sterling impersonation. I like Madueke but he was poor in the game yesterday. For his decision making, effort and team spirit. I hadn't considered Noni's overall play I that match. Come to think of it, he was decent on the defensive side of things and there are times where he could have been played in but wasn't. That said it might have been a tactical decision and might have been the basis of why he wasn't provisioned offensively.
