As the Mother of 3 grown Men who've lived almost half their lives exploring West Virginia, and having held my breath while some of the things my Husband and Sons did (ahead of me; I usually brought up the rear), I find myself holding my breath wide-eyed and ducking my head throughout your cavern explorations. One time, one of you squeezed through a very long and flat space with no visuals for turning around... and said so...if it weren't for the fact you ALL made it out (at night) at the end of your video, I would've thrown up. Just sayin. Anywhoooo, I do have a request, probably not the only one who's asked this, but, when you spot fossils, would you please do a 3 second clear closeup for us? Even some still and clear (as you can get 'em) close ups of the geological formations would be sweet. There have been times ya'll were walking through caverns/ slits/etc. when I spotted some great oblique lighting views of fossils/formations you guys didn't mention out loud. When you guys kept talking about how warm the water was I was reminded about a piece of info that still fucks with me. There is a organism that lives in heat springs that will cause death if you end up catching it. You can swim in said springs but you can't put your head under or have water splash in your eyes, nose, or mouth(unsure about ears) Heard thepovchannel talk about it in a video where he swam in a heat spring that had flooded a gold mine. Shit is crazy to think about!
@hannahbarrett1221Ай бұрын
Not just hot springs but ANY warm water!! In my teenage years I worked at a waterpark in the town where I grew up and we had a lifeguard die from this after contracting it AT WORK. The whole park was shut down, drained of all water, sanitized, left empty for the rest of the “heatwave” we were having and then refilled and reopened. Not many people went to it after that though. The idea that you’re no safer in chemically treated water than you would be in a natural lake is very unsettling.

Frogs have smooth skin, lives near water and in water, babies are poliwogs. Toads are bumpy, dry skin. Lives in the woods, forests, but still near bodies of water for laying eggs. They hatch as tadpoles. Don't know if the same applies to other places, but in Virginia where I live this is the difference in toads and frogs. I kept both as pets.
