You're horsing that fish too much you're like being way too aggressive and trying to get it in let it Tire itself out let it relax itself until it can't really swim anymore and then we lit up into the cave another words fight until it's really tired

He has ropes and a harness. If the tide starts to get too high he can go back up. If the waves get too big he can go back up. However the inside of the cave is dry which mean it probably doesn’t get that high.

Dude, that washout cave was awesome. Simply the best. I love places like that. Years ago I was living in Nevada. We hiked into a huge red sandstone slot canyon. Climbed up to a similar washout cave like yours and set camp. A rare small rainstorm came and the slot filled a couple feet deep with rushing water for a few hours. So cool. I’ll never forget it. Yours was so great and reminded me of that. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Be safe. Tight lines.

Just have a third line on a capstan style release, and lower it down in stages. A 10lb weight can hold way more that 1000lb with a capstan. The capstan does not need to revolve or be powered, it is something you would wrap a rope around twice to lower a load.

Hey mate, absolutely love your adventures 😁. Just thought I would let you know what I learned about the Samson fish turning to mush thingy... I am led to believe that it's not actually due to the worms that some of them do have (like that one of yours) which makes them turn to slush...it is a parasite not visible when filleted...and the only way you can tell if it has the parasite is by cooking it...apparently the heat causes certain enzymes to break down the proteins in the flesh...hence the mush...some have it, some don't..I am no expert so if anyone could enlighten us further on this that would be great. Thanks again for the awesome content...it's next level 👍👍👍

Yes I think you are correct... a simple test to do is put some in the microwave and if it's firm, it's good, but if it's mush feed it to the dogs.

I’m not the type to spread hate and go back and forth arguing in YOuTube. For whoever loves their dogs as much as I love mine, I encourage you to learn about Botulism. A condition that causes paralysis in dogs. Most cases of botulism in dogs are caused by eating dead animals or contaminated raw meat. Clostridium botulinum that grows in/on meat can release the botulinum toxin into its surroundings, allowing the toxin to be ingested by dogs who eat the contaminated meat. When dogs eat contaminated meat, the toxin is absorbed by the intestines and enters the bloodstream. Botulinum toxin is then carried throughout the body, where it binds to nerve cells and causes paralysis.

I was very confused at first when you caught that "salmon" as it didn't look anything like the salmon, trout and char we fish here in Sweden. Thanks for the explanation! And yes, they should probably give it a different name😄

You should get stronger line so that those fish that break off don't have to keep living the rest of their lives with hooks in them.

Nah that's not true man. I'm a retired scuba diver and in my time I've seen hooks in all kinds of fish and sharks. The line and the hooks get some algae growing on them meaning they've been there e's a long time. The hooks eventually rust a bit too. So when people say this kinda thing it's a bit of a lie that makes people feel better I guess🤷‍♂️🙋‍♂️
