What a journey! 2:16:41 Woohoo for crossing into Washington DC! 😃This was a fairly smooth ride through Virginia until you reached the tunnels and the streets in DC. 😂 It was nice seeing the DC skyline, Washington Monument, and Jefferson Memorial from the highway. 😍 Looking forward to watch the remaining segments of your road trip, and thank you for sharing, AK! 🤗

@Jari Hult ALSO you can save it for later. When I was a kid I used to always fall asleep in the back of the car looking out the window. Most of the times I view my brother so this really was my point of view sitting smack in the middle. The sound of a moving car is very relaxing it's almost like white noise. It can help some ppl sleep if you have problems. 😴

Enjoy your stay in DC! I thought you were just passing through there. That’s why I was commenting on I-495. Usually it’s a nice trip on I-495 to Baltimore. I usually take the old I-895 tunnel which is less traveled. Enjoy’

What's this going to take you about 5 hrs 6 hrs tops with really bad traffic to get there? I know the whole like for us from Long Island down to Jacksonville took us a total I believe 19 1/2 hours, maybe just a little over that. BUT WE DIDN'T STOP except twice & we just switched drivers 3 times. Once we all made a pit stop the bathroom & to top off on more gas. The second time was at South of the Border to pick up fireworks 🎆 because we were on our way to a wedding. Party at the motel they'd booked for all of us after the reception WOOHOO! 🎉 People kept telling us it'll take you 24 hours. I was like NO IT WON'T not if you do it right and not if you can drive for hours and it doesn't bother you. I drove like 7 hrs straight on my first shift but I LOVE to drive.
@ActionKid2 жыл бұрын
Good for you! Driving long distances for hours isn't for many people.

@@ActionKid I love it! I'm out on Long Island and my friends were always like arggghh I gotta go through the city now. Others were like ughhh I hate the bridges they freak me out and NYC is always so jammed up. I was always the one to say listen you guys get things in the car cuz I DON'T wanna lift a thing. Otherwise my back could get whacked out for the whole day. I'd just get my travel cooler bag set up where I need it. I was just like let's get moving and I'll get us off the Island and thru NYC. I gotta get my license straightened out so I can start driving again. I already know where I'm going, Niagara Falls for a few days. I already have the Airbnb picked out, now if I could just find those stupid tickets I paid YEARS AGO but the DMV refuses to acknowledge. I had the court's receipt, lost it then found it and I'm at the lost it stage again since I moved back. Then probably Florida and South Dakota, it says it'll take almost 2 days but that's continuous driving which will never happen. 😂 So it'll take me ALMOST 40 cuz I'm gonna sleep 💤😴.
