Silver line wasn’t suppose to be mbta promise light rail after the old elevated orange line was torn down instead they gave us silver line buses and try to pass them off as a rapid transit. So the truth is silver line is the old orange line elevated along Washington st starting at Nubian square.

The cell phone underground only started around 2010-2012 for the Cambridge side of the river. Before that only T-Mobile(Then as VoiceStream) and Sprint wired underground on the Boston side. But that started around 2003-ish. So funny thing was if people were om their phone on the Boston side of the river you'd see them try to hurry up and finish before going into the tunnel by Kendall.

AK, thank you for showing your viewers the "T" and thank you for _highlighting_ the fact that basically it's a hodgepodge of sorts. Most people think of raised platforms and trains when they think *_subways_* , and the "T" is way more than just that (as you know, and as you have shown in recent streams). The "T" really is quite UNIQUE. 👍

I live in new york. there are only a few stations that you really don't want to be at at certain points at night but for the most part they feel the same. the thing with Boston is that its far cleaner but the stations just feel older and more generic. Downtown crossing is extremely underwhelming and very cramped in terms of ceiling space. It just feels worse kept even though its cleaner

I lived in Boston in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood in the 1980s. Had a car but used the “T” to get downtown, the airport, and to Cambridge. So I am familiar with the stations and trains shown. Honestly, how could you not notice the Harvard bus tunnel in front of you at 1:12 where the blue lights were at. That is literally the only bus tunnel in America, if not, the whole world with a direct subway connection. Fact: the local trolleybuses used to serve the tunnel as well and they had left side doors to accommodate the lower busway where the right side faced the wall.

My friend Dave lives in Arlington, Mass, public housing . Having no car , elderly in poor health, he described a recent T nightmare over the phone. He always had high anxiety claustrophobia . So he had a panic attack when the driver suddenly stopped without explanation and left the passengers seemingly LOCKED INSIDE. For a long ten minutes Dave was banging on the closed windows and looking for a way out. When the T-driver , a young Black man , returned , he was nearly apoplectic with rage . Are not T-Subway drivers well instructed on leaving the bus with passengers aboard ?

A few things. A true Bostonian only refers to the train/trolley system as the "T".The others are called the "commuter rail " Secondly, The green line may be a light rail, but it's called a "trolley.". Lastly, I'm hoping you take a shorter route from Harvard Square to the "Ptu" moving forward. It's a 10 minute bus ride! Lol

So Action kid? Are you now living in the Boston area? Or was the series of Boston area videos based on a visit there in the recent years? I'm a native born New Yorker from the Bronx and also lived a few years in the early 80s there. Particularly? Up in Salem . Anyway enjoyed the video. There's a funny story about the Charley card based off an old comedy song made decades ago. See if you can find it? And listen to it? Anyway. Also I personally think ? Looking back to my days on both city's subway train systems in both N.Y.C. & Boston ? I think the MBTA "T" system is a bit cleaner and doesn't have the crime related stuff people are in some cases going to see in the Big Apple. Anyway thanks again.👋🥸

I have ridden the subway in NYC and the metro in DC. NYC metros are pretty nasty, imo, while most DC stations seem to be pretty clean. I have not ridden the Boston metro, but it seems like a middle ground between the two. Clean but old, and would probably feel safer to ride (in terms of crime) when compared to NYC. For anyone who has ridden all three, would you say that is a fair assessment?
