WINDY Bike Ride to the Fontainebleau Hotel from Downtown

I embark on a windy bike ride from Downtown Miami to the Fontainebleau Hotel. I knew it was windy, but not this windy! I really felt it over the Venetian Causeway and near the water. It was nice to see the scenery along the way, especially all the art deco buildings and restaurants along Collins Avenue.

Glad that you figured out that the Venetian is the only reasonable way to cross by bike to Miami Beach. That said, you could have taken 17th all the way to the beach walk and ridden up that way more safely.

Made many visits to South Beach 2005 through 2015 when my late aunt lived in Delray Beach. Fontainebleau Hotel was in the opening shot of Goldfinger, after the titles with Shirley Bassey's song.

In fact just before you reached the Fontainebleau I could see the Hampton Inn Continental just before 41st street where I lived for a year when it was the Continental Condos.

Even with bike lanes, I'd be terrified to ride in a big city like Miami. I keep my bike riding skills exclusively to mountain trails or suburban neighborhoods. Great video as always!

AK,If I would be more financially stable back in in 1993 I would of move to Miami but I opted out of moving Out to Fort Lauderdale. Instead. I guess Washington Ave back then was too much like a Party version of Flatbush plus I didn't get much Sleep at the Miami Vice Hostel. I need a more Quiet place to sleep so I took a small break to Marathon Key and finally I got some rest. But you made a feat decision to move to Miami. Just gauge yourself in June when it get a it rainy . Sometimes the downturn could be a challenge when biking.

Miami..has no sidewalk life, no bodegas, mom & pop shops, local deli. Looks barroned wherever you go, just boutique spots for food for 1 mile and it turns lame with high rises, with no sidewalk appeal. Should try going to the sketchy neighborhoods maybe, outside of downtown. Still love your Vids, Stay Safe..😎👍🏼
