I don't do Airbnbs as a rule anymore... because so many hidden fees or demands of the owners and Airbnb very seldom backs you up. And the cleanliness can vary so widely. I know at least at a hotel I can call and have sheets changed or room changed if it's something that won't put me off staying there period.

I so agree..it's less expensive to stay in a nice hotel. This is such a beautiful area! The desert gets cold at night. The night sky is incredible!
@YesItsMeGuys682 ай бұрын
as an Airbnb owner I must defend against your statement . ------* All fees are clearly shown before you book . It's broken down for you The nightly stay fee. the cleaning fee. Airbnb's finder fee then the taxes. --- *. Airbnb, contrary to your belief , supports the guest MUCH more than the host , should issues arise . ---* Cleanliness is an area all previous guests post and can be seen in the ratings and comments before booking. --*. Should you find your accommodation not up to your standards with bedding and cleanliness simply contact your host and any host worth their salt will be on it immediately to remedy the problem to your satisfaction. Airbnb offers the guest something much different than a hotel can offer . SPACE, A full kitchen and privacy .

Yeah I went through a phase of loving BnB but it's too unreliable and unknown. You have to learn where everything is and how it works, always a million rules, and notes and all that. Give me a dull chain hotel most of the time these days. Good if you are a group or family though for a longer stay.

Jess I have unsubscribed from so many "big" content creators because they are so unrelatable that it actually annoys me and I just think about how much it must be negatively affecting the younger generation and how they'll be at risk of feeling like they're not doing well in life if they don't have those things, or that they'll get themselves into financial trouble in order to try to keep up with people they aspire to be like. When really it's people like you they should look up to. Nice, kind, funny, down to earth, hard working and keeping your toes in a "real" job too. You appreciate the little things and as a 30 something woman I appreciate your content far more. Keep doing what you're doing, we need people like you to keep it real Xx

A friend and I stayed in an AirBnb just outside Durango on a cattle ranch. The area was quite remote too and there was a tiny strip of a town a short drive away and it was so amazing. It was only $584 in total, for four nights in April a couple of years ago. The thing I enjoyed the most was how remote it was. There was a sunroom that overlooked the farmland with mountains on the horizon and I would sit there in the late afternoon until the sun set, I could’ve lived there forever!

Soon after, the heat got back up to 110 f (43 c) and stayed that way for 6 weeks. The strange cloud formation in your video was the aftermath of a rocket launch from SpaceX for the Starlink Satellites. It is very common to see the launches from all over southern California. It was a shame you missed the actual launch because they light up the sky in beautiful colors and it would have been cool to capture on your video.

I’ve only stay at an Airbnb once as a reunion with kids and grandkids. It was a great experience except for the price. You can, from just my experience looking for places, expect to pay double the nightly fee with all added on costs. The pro’s was that it had a pool and hot tub (separate fee to heat), full kitchen and with kids they had plenty of space to play without worrying a lot about disturbing people. You just have to weigh your pros and cons. Everyone have a very lovely weekend. Cheers 🥂

We stay in Airbnb a lot in the uk and it pretty much always works out cheaper than 2 rooms in a hotel - add to that the privacy and convenience of a full kitchen etc it is hard to beat. Prices of course vary accoring to the quality and size but so they do with hotels. The only thing I woud say is, if you are looking to stay a week or more, see if you can find who else the same place is listed with. Usually homes in the UK are on with a local holiday company as well as Airbnb and the local company is usually at least 10% cheaper (and preferred by the owner).
@tellthetruth19642 ай бұрын
@@andyjdhurley Yes definitely check other sites. The one we stayed out had a note in the “Host Book” that if you booked directly through them you get a discounted rate. I don’t know about the UK but what I’ve discovered in my research is most of the vacation rental properties (Airbnb, VRBO, etc) in the US are corporate owned. I think for family holidays or reunions they are wonderful. If I’m booking for just myself or myself and my spouse, I will spend my money on a luxury hotel every time. It’s definitely personal choice and always pros versus cons with anything you choose. Thank you so much for your reply. It’s so great to hear everyone’s experiences around the world. Have a wonderful weekend!
