When I connect my phone to go into desktop mode my Bluetooth mouse only comes on my phone and doesn't appear on the desktop so I need to do anything to change this?

Why doesn't Google natively include desktop mode like Samsung does for the Note series?

Google is working on one since for Android 15 beta there's Desktop Windowing for tablets and likely for Android 16, Google plans to add Linux support to Android similar to Chrome OS

It's because it's far from ready, buggy and just a horrible experience overall and they don't want to make a bad impression of themselves by releasing to early (rushing it).

Enable Force desktop mode not an option on pixel 9 for Android 15 in developer options. Any ideas?

Hi, i still havent tried with 15 but it should do as same as it was on 14, maybe on a different menu 🙌

Pretty sure it's gone now 😡 if you enable app resize on secondary display it renders it useless. Has an apps button in lower right hand corner but it's impossible to navigate the mouse over to the second display!

@@BobBarker-d4m Same here. I have Pixel 9 Pro and there is no "Force desktop mode". I see second desktop, but mouse is locked to phone and all apps start on phone, second screen is empty.

@@BobBarker-d4m OK, I find out - you have to rotate PHONE to landscape (with Chrome) , then mouse will switch to secondary display and you can use Apps button. I managed to start browsers,, VDI/RDP app fullscreen and use them. I even connected USB mouse and keyboard :-)

Tips Pixel 8 -> For those who have trouble with external mouse and keyboard try to change and restore rotation on external display. * Setting * Connected Device * External Display ..... change and restore rotation.

And what about the audio output? It only works on the cell phone..! I tried it on the TV or monitor with speakers and it doesn't work. The sound only comes out on the cell phone

Yes Yes, I know that would work but I want to use the TV speakers. And that is not possible, at least not at the moment

Thanks, nice video. Could someone help me, I have the same problem that I see in the video. When I connect my pixel 9 pro to a screen directly with the USB C, it doesn't give me an image, it stays there thinking, charging like ''blinking'' and no message appears on the cell phone.

What is the max resolution and refresh rate and will it work with GeForce now?

Pretty impressive for low level gaming like some daily genshin or cod mobile. But aside from that I don't see the value. Maybe they agreed and locked it behind the developers option

Gone are the days when you could tether up the Samsung Galaxy 5 to the desktop computer and away it would go. But I guess advancing technology brings along more complications.
