I cannot wait to get the AA Signature Exhaust with this Single Mid pipe for my '21 M2 Competition! Sounds excellent on your M3 Comp! Everyone used to complain so much about the s55's tone, but honestly, being a guy who has owned 2 E46 M3's, an E36 M3, a 1M, an E92 M3 and various Porsche flat-six cars (currently have an '84 911 track car), I think the S55 has always been a great sounding engine, and it has alot more in common with the older N/A straight six sounds than people give it credit for (especially in the high RPM's, I think the S55 sounds even more aggressive than some of the N/A M-engines). It's also a super rev-happy engine with a high redline ("orange-line" at 7600, redline at 7800), especially for a twin turbo. Sure, it can't rev to 8300 like the S54 could, but it isn't much lower AND it's a wayyy more potent engine. Certainly has that "frictionless" feeling of an M-Division straight-six. The single mid-pipe definitely brings the S55 sound way more in line with a traditional M straight six. I think alot of the "odd" sound of the S55 engine comes from the goofy-ass stock exhaust design, Euro noise restrictions have resulted in alot of weird sounding high-performance engines, but with most of them, get rid of the stock systems and they sound like they always should have.

Sound is so subjective and so many people call it this or that, I think the single paired with any decent axleback and downpipe setup on these cars sound amazing. People get their panties in a bunch even tho this is historically how BMW’s have sounded 😂. Good insight man💪🏽

I guess these ones fits to res version of single mid. So i am still in hope some day i will find solution of decatt EL 2K buzzing issue :) (i am going to try bigger resonaters).
