What are your thoughts on bailess reels ? I do not own one but am thinking of purchasing one.

For the first days is hard to use but you get use to it . My friend has one and i see he is very happy with it

@@Blueskies-h3e torrey pines beach. My friend wanted know that spot where the Kumeyaay natives were fishing in the past . I try to show them different spots that out ancestors fished . The walk was so hard with the fish it was so heavy. 😅 the spot is next to the flat rock

Is that the Daiwa Seahunter rod? I use the 12.8 ft version. It was the most stiff rod I ever had. The only thing that could be better is the end. It is too slim and could slide down my rod holder. Wish it had a rod butt. I bought a rubber rod butt from Temu that sort of works.

Any rod from 8 feet to 13 is great . I sometimes use medium light or mackerel rod to do surf fishing it still works . I also use one from temu 28 dollar and it lands a lot of fish

A lot of grunions and anchovies. The birds had party
