I'm Brazilian and I have to agree. The leftists took out our right to have firearms, even after losing the referendum. But in 2018, God Willing, Bolsonaro will be our president and he will fix this issue.
@ozymandias11927 жыл бұрын
Aryeh Agassi Yes, because more firearms will fix the problem
@aryehagassi25707 жыл бұрын
MrGallagher1998 Yes, it's all network of security. It is better to have people who have training and firearms near the place of a crime, police very often come too late. Until 2003 (when the leftists established "gun control", even though the population was against) our criminal rate was high but not as much as today. we were the country with more assassinations in the world in 2016. Bandits know that mostly off duty cops carry firearms, so they feel free to commit crimes.
@aryehagassi25707 жыл бұрын
What Bolsonaro want to implement is tougher laws (we have very lenient laws towards criminals, another gift from the left, who sees them as "victims of capitalism") and the right of Brazilians to bear and carry arms.

harrod19 Agree. The kick was dangerous and useless. The perp could have acted on a reflex grabbing/pulling the officer's leg - that's a very basic skill taught in many MAs in the initial training. A lot of people develop this reflex without realizing it might not be optimal under different circumstances.
@craigholquist22757 жыл бұрын
All he had to do was kick the front tire towards the van and pull the handle bar at the same time. Bike down, robber down. Keeping his weapon pointed towards the occupied van was dangerous and careless. It was a nice kick though.
@AlbeeACR6 жыл бұрын
harrod19 "sorry but no". It was a high impact roundhouse kick to the chest while the perp was removing his helmet. It was effective in that he knocked him off balance which allowed then the easy pull to the ground with his left hand. Seems like maybe you had a better strategy just lacked the actual experience...

I live in Phoenix and watching these videos is a constant reminder to be aware of your surroundings. But I'm in London at the moment. The people density of London is so high, there is no sense of personal space. You have to walk everywhere, or be crowded on public transport. There are people walking with you, against you, and standing around all the time, everywhere you go. To me everyone is a threat until proven otherwise. Traveling in phoenix, I'm armed, usually in the relative safety of my vehicle, I stay out of the bad areas, and there is much more personal space giving you time to assess threats. Can't even carry a pocket knife here in London so I certainly miss my firearm. Almost everyone walks around with their head down and earbuds in. I tend to walk with my head down too (but definitely no earbuds) and I have to be constantly reminding myself to be heads up and be vigilant. I listen for footsteps and use the reflection of shop windows to watch my 6. Being paranoid or just overly aware...hmm is there such a thing?

In the end you made the most correct statement, ' The officer did a fine job ' !!!! This live situations are not scripted and no one but no one knows how it would turn out. You talk a good talk after the fact, all well and good, but the person in the kitchen knows the heat of the fire . Sunday morning quarterbacking might be good, but it is done with markers, laser pointer, flip charts, laptops and all other paraphernalia from the comfort of an air condition room . Conditions on the ground are raw, fluid, dynamic, spontaneous, and unscripted with adrenaline flowing, even if it is your hundredth action. Conditions, location, numbers of assailants whether armed or such are many variables in these situations 🤔
