Activist joins Columbia University Gaza solidarity encampment after wedding

Nerdeen Kiswani, a Palestinian-American activist, attended the Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Columbia University in New York after her wedding. She gave a speech to the protesting students.
On Thursday, around 108 students were arrested from Columbia. The university's administrator, Nemat Minouche Shafik, called the New York Police Department to enter campus and dismantle an encampment on the main lawns that had started a day prior.
The encampment at Columbia began in the early hours of 19 April as protesters called on their university to divest from Israeli military weapons manufacturers.
