Environmental activists from Just Stop Oil sprayed Stonehenge with orange powdery paint. Although several people stepped in to try to stop the vandalization, they were successful. The organization posted their reasoning for defacing the structure on X, writing "2 people took action the day before Summer Solstice, demanding the incoming government sign up to a legally binding treaty to phase out fossil fuels by 2030." I'm genuinely curious, I can't see a reason why they would. the only way i've seen them own up for any negatives they've caused is through their oil spill "volunteer" cleanup campaigns, which they only do for positive pr after causing a obviously major environmental disasters. (the only reason they volunteer to do it is because the government will force them to do it anyways through the courts, and it looks better to the public if they decide to do it of their own accord.)

An engineer with a masters in physics from North Dakota (i believe it was) had built his own 1:1 stonehenge replica in his backyard. I have more than one brain cell and that allows me to figure out that environmental activists have enough brain cells not to do actions which will cause the public to react against their cause. Use your one brain cell to figure out whose interests were served by this action. Then ask your brain cell if it is likely that it was organized and paid for by fossil fuel interests.
