He's an absolute gem of an actor. It was a crime he wasn't in the recent Oscar mix for "All of Us Strangers" - a beautiful, gut punch of a film where he and Mescal were achingly stunning. I adore Andrew. He has a lot of great things ahead of him and I CAN NOT wait to see Ripley and everything else ahead of him.

I'm so sorry he lost his Mum as they were very close - its such a loss. He is such a lovely intelligent sensitive articulate guy and talented actor on stage and screen. Good luck to you Andrew. If he wants to do a musical he should work with Jessie Buckley they would be a great combo.

Glad they touched on his other work, including "All of Us Strangers" -- what an incredible film; deserved much more awards season attention. Looking forward to this new version of Ripley!

Yes, it is truly a great film, wonderful, heartbreaking work from Scott and the rest of the cast (Paul Mescal, Claire Foy, Jamie Bell) and director/writer Andrew Haigh. And I'm glad they spent some time on his outstanding stage career; most TV interviews in this country -- especially brief ones -- tend to focus exclusively on TV and film.

I loved Ripley because having lived in Italy for 20 years it was great to see the wonderful coastal towns that resonate so much with me and,to hear all the Italian songs I grew to love that helped me learn Italian and hearing the language that grew close to my heart.I think and talk to myself in Italian, much more beautiful than English! Also I grew up in Dublin with a lisp and my name is Patricia! My paesano Andrew Scott played a brilliant Ripley, bravo bravissimo 👌👏👏👏

I always compare and contrast him with Gillian Murphy. You can be a great actor. Deep dive into a role. Be accessible to your audience in interviews. Be charming, funny, open and present. Gillian isn't any of those attributes. For some reason I can't fathom. Andrew nails it every time.

What a lovely relaxed interview, bright and knowing and deep. With wonderful clips. Andrew Scott should have been on the Oscar list - but clearly far too good for the Oscar cronyism. Onwards and upwards my favourite actor. (Take no notice; his Hamlet is the best I have ever seen....and I have seen far too many! Find it if you can and be impressed by the modernity of the play and it's relevance)

I've only seen him as a psychopath and was worried that he'd be a little typecast. I need to branch out and see more of his films. He is chilling in Ripley, many long wordless sequences where he is able to convey so much. What's incredible is him doing that role at 46.

Loved the interview; look for his work in various mediums; quick note for the person who said he won the Olivier, he did not-Mark Gatiss won for Motive and the Cue; had a hard choice this year who to root for in that category, Mr. Gatiss, Mr. Scott or David Tennant in MacBeth; two Sherlock & a Doctor Who actor, 2of my favorite shows. 🤗🤗❤️❤️🥰🥰

I rarely binge watch except Bad Sisters, Normal People and now this Ripley. I found it riveting - a masterpiece (except ridiculous amount of time in one episode finishing off Dickie). Fascinating the great divergence of opinions! Crowds are flocking to Atrani and some locals not pleased. I can sure they'll also be a rush on musuems that have a work of Caravaggio

I don't know why the sentence 'scott grew up gay' is so amusing to me but it's a very odd way of putting it. Maybe it doesn't sound so until I offer the equivalent 'John Lennon grew up straight'. It's odd. No judgement. Just surprise.
