The story is still in its early setup phase, establishing the entanglement among all the characters, almost all of them in the middle of some kind of misery. This downcast ambient and the sense of angst kept some at bay since this drama is a slow-burner intended to stew rather than boil. The episode clearly shows that Lee Jian is more than the typical helpless victim of the environment. She can be cunning and ruthless to achieve her goal. She is a hardened survivor. The brothers are great characters who provide occasional comedic relief this dark and grim drama sorely needs so that the audience could get some relief. Welcome back.
