Do people even know how to be quiet and respectful at the theater anymore? Thank goodness, Wendell was able to be patient even though he’s being openly harassed. Respect to this gentleman.

Security should have hauled her butt out of the theater immediately. She was either high on alcohol, some sort of drug or crazy! She should not have been allowed to disrupt the show for more than 30 seconds!!

Always been entitled. I worked at theatre venues before the pandemic. We had rowdy people cause a disturbance all the time. Now it feels like they have gone absolutely feral once the mandates were lifted. We had an intoxicated woman at Moulin Rouge continuously disrupt the show and even assaulted some of the workers when they pulled her out of the audience.

Dammit Will! Now in Broadway people are acting a fool? As soon as somebody interrupts a show or tries to go on stage, they need to be handled by security. Broadway is literally a place where people go to escape not just the actors / singers but the audience. It's like the hot tub of the entertainment world. How dare she

It blows my mind that somebody can feel so entitled. Also, I do blame the theater a bit for not having the balls to throw her out during the first act. Constantly talking over and interrupting a piece of performance art like that is not free speech, she's clearly disturbing the peace. Anyway, Hudson Theater is a private company that's entitled to its own set of rules that this lady is clearly violating, and they're well within their rights to throw her out because of that. I'm extremely upset on behalf of the talent and the patrons!

Theatre goers will never ever learn. Phones go off all the time during plays and shows. Even though they announce it before the show. Some performers make customers leave their phones in the lobby before they go into the theatre. This helps a lot. People are rude and thoughtless. Many people check their phones during intermission to see who called them. Or they call someone to tell them where they are. Big deal!!! I don''t. My phone is off. I was at a production of To Kill a Mockingbird in October in San Francisco. The woman next to me checked her phone in her purse a few times to see who may have called her. Why? Two weeks ago during a play in Berkeley, CA, they had a post discussion with the actor, director and writer. A phone went off in the front row, the people were embarrassed, but laughed and then turned it off. Just rudeness and carelessness all the time. it will never stop!!! Never!!!!! JG SF Bay Area

The actor should have exited the stage when his stage manager instructed him to do so. He only escalated the situation, and if the crazy, drunk person who stopped the show had a weapon, the results could have been disastrous.

@marcuspd7502 Жыл бұрын
@@thegreatestshowonearth7623 There are rules and protocols in place for situations like this, most of which are put into place for safety purposes. The stage manager, who is the actor’s boss and runs the show, told him to exit the stage, yet he disobeyed her. He chose to engage with an audience member who was not of sound mind, which means she was very capable of any kind of dangerous behavior. It is the job of the ushers and house manager to engage with audience members and solve problems like this. If you actually believe what he did was right, then you support breaking safety protocols and putting thousands of people’s lives in danger. That’s a very careless, ignorant opinion to have.
