My road to Damascus story is twofold: 1. Turned back to God's Church after WAYWARD COLLEGE YEARS...becoming pregnant and marrying a non-member! 2. About 15 yrs later, FEAR led by Y2K, I decided I REALLY better get to know HIM, in case he comes at the turn of the century! My relationship became vertical finally! So grateful for a wonderful amazing teachers help me see principles I would have never seen! I thank God for you and Technology! And my conversion to HIM and his gospel continues to grow :-)

My mom's Road is an amazing Legacy for me also! She turned away from him for 20 years and then back for 25 years. Though another church, she shared the differences w her friends in each season of her life, the relationships they had or didn't have with their families, their deaths! And the quality of their lives! What an amazing Legacy she left her grandchildren!

Paul wasn't given a new name - it was his Roman name. Luke chose to use his Roman name in the scriptures, for the audience.

Of course I could be wrong (I wasn’t there), but I have never believed that Saul was evil. I believe he was a very devout Jew who sincerely believed that Jesus of Nazareth was a false messiah or false prophet and that he was truly doing God’s will by trying to eradicate this seemingly false movement. He studied under Gamliel and was a passionate Pharisee in his service toward God and had as his model stories in the Old Testament, which told of non-believers being eradicated by command of God. Then, when he had his Road to Damascus experience he simply pivoted to follow Jesus, with the same degree of fervour, that he had always had as he tried to follow God’s will. Also, as has been pointed out already, Paul was his Roman name. For missionary purposes as he taught the subjects of Rome throughout the Empire it made sense to use his Roman name.

Brother Wilcox has them all available on his Etsy shop. Each lesson is only about $1.50. I subscribed for the year and you get all of the worksheets, so it's even less. I think it's super worth it and have used them with classes and just for my own study. I really appreciate that he makes these helps so available to us. Hope this info helps you.
