If you cook your food, almost all the cities are same except rentals. I am from Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore. If you can drive office, In our area one can rent 2bhk for around 20-25K/flat or 15-20k/Ind.House. Another 5k extra if needs 3bhk. 4 members family can survive with 50k/month incluing rental home. And spending more and more money is persoanl choice and depends on the their earning power.

Overpopulation is killing this city and with this kind of an exponential increase this beautiful city will become like Bombay in future. Bangalore's current situation is not a result of migration influx. Thats what your govt wanted, and thats why they have given so many SEZs to IT companies, because this is what uplifts Bangalore's economy. But your govt forgot to provide right infrastructures to support such growth. It is a failure of your government which resulted in todays Bangalore. Try to understand the real reason behind a problem. You want the money that comes in when people migrate to your city, but then when you fail to provide the basics and they complain, you tell them to go back? That does not work my friend.
