I rediscovered your channel after watching many of your videos years ago and I think this is the most important video you have created. It consolidates so much of my own personal experience and growth that I have done when learned multiple languages at the same time as a kid. I have always had this ability to zoom out and now it makes sense why, I have never been bound to one language and seeing one reality! Or is it just my mind needing this information right in this moment? And when I grow more then other video will be yet another one that’s more important in that other moment? 😂 life is such a trippy loopy thing when you keep going meta, I feel high just realising this hahaha !! And I’m laughing that I’m laughing 😂 isn’t it funny that I’ve just created this chat with myself in the comment section having fun with myself, laughing with myself, at myself, while pointing out that I’m talking to myself and laughing with myself OMG no I need to stop now 😂🤣 I promise I’m sane and sober 😂😂😂

This is absolutely amazing, Leo. Been following you for about 5 years now and, this episode (for me) sums up and underscores the most important aspects of your work, i.e. the need to look very critically at how we interpret and see reality. If we can't go meta on ourselves we will never "arrive" at awakening.
@Anders013 жыл бұрын
Amazing insight Leo mentioned about why reality is one wholeness. If there were more than one reality there would have to be a boundary, and that's an additional thing! Or a larger container. So reality always meta expands into oneness. My most meta idea is consciousness as infinite reality being aware of the finite and ever expanding manifestation of itself.

Over the past 5 or 6 years (hard to figure out), I've had an idea that has been growing in my mind, even finding it's way into my dreams, that instead of surviving the deadly crash I went through 25 years ago, I actually died, and everything I'm now experiencing is a construct of the afterlife. My behavior, my choices, all being closely monitored by some "higher power" that judges and adjusts the framework to fit my own personal narratives. I get the feeling that I'm going to wake up from a coma in 1993 or 94, possibly 95, and the past 25 years will be explained to me as: "your mind trying to keep itself alive while your body recovered from a traumatic experience". Sometimes I can actually see myself splayed out in the field, a full 20 yards away from the crash, bloody and broken. Sometimes I can see myself in the ICU, feeding tube and all. I hope that's META, cuz if it's not, I should probably seek help.
@Mr0nknown3 жыл бұрын

@roundspin16513 жыл бұрын
Yeah you don’t need help if you don’t react to that feeling and get afraid annoyed or any negative feeling you experience If you’re getting a negative feel about it then feel it properly and feel through it and have courage to feel it and accept it. Going meta is good if you can withhold that feeling of amazement, fear , excitement, confusion and many more emotions with it. If you keep the courage to feel it and come out the other way strong then go for it . your desire of becoming strong will lead you to become strong. P.S:- Leo suggest that you should go bold and feel it that’s one of the ways to self reflect or introspect to understand yourself and your experiences deeply. Your wrong thinking of getting help from some psychologist will lead you nowhere because whomever you are going to tell your story will hear it for sure but they have not experienced what you have so keep going meta and feeling it and noticing yourself while feeling that emotions and noticing what your mind is doing to cope with that feeling. Meta thinkers are usually geniuses by the way. Go easy on yourself and love yourself more. That is the ultimate cure.

Define « going meta » is essential for any kind of personal development It means "to step outside, zoom out or transcend a thing to make it the subject of one's awareness" and can be referred as self-reflection or self-reference Becoming self-aware would be like a fish understanding what is water or Mario understanding he's in a video game To master anything in life, you have to be attuned and wise enough to read between the lines: the art of seeing the implicit Going meta would be like discovering the cheat code of the game of life so you could be in god mode (damn, how cool this is) Examples: lucid dreams, meta-learning (learning how to learn), meta-language (understanding how our language influences our thoughts and shapes our reality), meta-science or epistemology (asking ourselves where do our assumptions and our methods of doing science come from ?)

I think the big problem with trying to explain a higher dimension idea to a someone in a lower dimension is not that it doesn’t compute, but it’s that it does compute, but only as an artefact or symbol understood from the lower dimension. It is only seen/known to the extent that it can be represented in that lower plane, which is not its true nature.

@@dcktater7847 At the end of the video Leo walks us through a very in-depth meta exercise. As I’m listening, I intellectually understand what he’s saying, but I know I’m not “getting it” viscerally because there’s usually a change of consciousness of some sort. For example, when you are fully present you notice a subtle change in consciousness-you start to notice the “emptiness” in your surroundings more. You’ll just “know” when something clicks. But to sort of build on your case, I could be “too close to it” and won’t realize I had it until I look at it in retrospect. I wouldn’t worry too much on it though. It’ll click when it clicks.

first you need to know how to spot a faker, today it is very popular to say you are "enlightened", it sounds cool and attractive, I know a lot of "woke" people It really serves survival agenda to say you are conscious

Literary had the experience that Leo described at the beginning of the episode. It happened under a high dose of mushrooms. But it wasn't like I woke up to the higher reality, it was like God woke up from the dream that was me. It was unbelievably powerful. It seemed like the whole Universe was created for this specific moment. For the moment of total Awakening. And there was much more to it that is very hard to describe... As a post-story can't tell that after this experience I became enlightened by any means. After mushrooms wore up I pretty much returned to my usual state of being. Glad that at that time I haven't done some stupid thing. It was quite possible I believe. So guys be careful! If at some point You understand that You are God don't try to check if You are able to fly!!!

When Leo starts saying I am the universe talking to itself and that I am living in a dream, I feel anxious. Does this happen to anyone else? This has happened many times. From where does this anxiety arise?
@traelstechnologytmalsantua34713 жыл бұрын
Maybe your not ready to realize that yet. Like he said further in the video "We are the universe dreaming up this dream of human life, and the trick is, for us to pretend like we are not dreaming it up." So people who are for aware we are dreaming this dream, are like guides to those, who are less aware. Because you can wake up anytime, but, once you wake up its a whole new ball game. If that makes sense.

Your rational mind telling you to get away from this harmful man. He's peddling harmful practices. Please don't take his suicide advice. He's said in prior videos that death is the only way to truly ascend for devils (everyone who isn't a God so all of us) but we're not strong enough to do it.

@@traelstechnologytmalsantua3471 Thank you. My sense is that, it is not that I'm not ready for it, but that there is resistance/fear.

@@mikedrop4421 Suicide is the farthest thing from my mind. In fact, most of the time I live with a sense of joy. I attribute this joy to my daily meditation practice. In fact I believe the meditation practice has given me the awareness to acknowledge the anxiety I was feeling earlier. Just not sure where it is coming from.

@@gfallon40 Do you think you'd be interested in a mediation technique I have? Because its very powerful but its different from what Leo is teaching. His teachings are very profound and radical. My method is a bit more mellow and it doesn't require that you break the 4th wall so to speak. Let me know if you are and I'll share. Otherwise good luck on your awakening journey.

In most languages there is one word for each concept. So each word is like a memory cell, in which you can store more information about that concept, or make connections to other concepts. If a person has a small vocabulary, their brain is able to process efficiently, a smaller number of concepts. Other concepts exist, but without a word for it, the brain has a hard time creating a memory storage location for that concept. A person with a large vocabulary, however, has at his disposal, a wide range of different words that they can use to describe things, and is also able to manage a large number of concepts in a relatively efficient fashion.

When the person who is talking to you is making a good point it becomes a collaboration , the fact that a you are able to identify the worth of a statement from an apparently opposing argument can be quite pleasurable. I don't have a problem with that. I tend to prefer talking to people that are equally flexible, otherwise l get bored and it becomes difficult for me to engage and collaborate. It's like carrying a heavy object with a person that's not really trying to help . I love it when I am presented with a new perspective. It seems like the idea of a competition is not the best approach to have a fulfilling or at least fun interaction.

So it seems that mindfulness is the best tool to go meta with your ego, and open mindedness is a great tool to go meta with your ego and your understanding of life and deciding to live with honesty is another great tool, but then again many things can help to go meta including history , psychedelics, science, philosophy, epistemology, meditation etc etc
