Thanks for watching! Will YOU be getting a PlayStation 5 Pro? 😳

Try buying a dedicated GPU with the same features and performance. They start at around 550 USD (RTX4070). The PS 5 PRO is a bargain in context. If you're happy with less performance, buy a lesser console.

The PS5 Pro is using RDNA 4 and we don't know what it is equivalent to in terms of graphics. RDNA 4 isn't even out for PC consumers yet. One of the 1st RDNA 4 graphics card is the RX 8000, which is more powerful than the RTX 4090. That is coming out in 2025. So, that is the main reason why the PS5 Pro is so damn expensive. RDNA 4 architecture is very new. I might get the PS5 Pro but I need more info from AMD and Playstation, such as the full clock frequency from the PS5 Pro.

But won't the CPU throttle all that updated GPU performance? Xbox One X and PS4 Pro had similar issues?

@mulamulelilumadi4717 There's no full info on the CPU. It's just rumours and predictions. AMD hasn't confirmed it yet. Also, the PS5 Pro will be very different to Xbox Series X by a mile anyway.

@mulamulelilumadi4717 PS4 Pro and Xbone One X didn't have any similar issues at all. Look at Last of Us Part 2 on the PS4 Pro. The gameplay and the graphics on the PS4 Pro has aged very well.

@@myalen100 didn't both have low(er) framerate limits owing to their CPU even though their GPUs' were huge improvements that could handle higher resolutions natively or upscaled?

What the console does is actually quite a good upgrade to the base PS5. The problem is the price, if this was based at £400, the hype behind it would be high, & they probably could’ve got away with selling the disc drive separately. As for the stand not being included, there’s no excuse for that. Most gamers will skip this & just wait for the PS6

Many people would try to flip them for a lot more than Sonys' MSRP. Mind you people have demonstrated in the last 4 years that they'll pay outrageous prices for technology.

I mean seeing the specs what if theyre gonna release the same games in more optimised high graphics mode. Why bash out on a device just after 2 days of release

The question isn't the price or even the additional add on's you may need or want to buy. The real question, if I bought the Pro would I genuinely see a massive upgrade from my regular PS5. Are there any games currently available that require a PS5 Pro to play. Finally, ignoring the cost for a moment, to enjoy the full capabilities of the PS5 pro, you will need a TV/monitor capable of handling the input signal from the Pro i.e. VRR, ALLM, HDMI 2.1. You'll not necessarily need all of these to play PS5 Pro, but you will if you really want to get the most out of your new PS5 Pro. Otherwise, it's just a regular PS5 .

So you reckon Sony have given themselves the Xbox series X/S problem? I wonder if it'll be better for Sony given the mind/market share they enjoy

@@mulamulelilumadi4717 I really don't know the answer to that question, only time will tell. However, I go back to my original point. Where is the noticeable upgrade for the end user. Are they any games out there that will require a PS5 Pro. Will the average user notice the upgrade, I would argue the vast majority aren't going to really notice the difference. Less we forget, you will need a top quality TV/monitor to experience the best the PS4 Pro can offer. if you don't have the latest and greatest, you've just bought an upgrade that you can't enjoy. I have the Samsung S95C, but I can't see any reason to upgrade. It all comes down to individual choice. But just do it from an informed position.
