Just installed this unit on my 2021 Civic Sport Wagon, along with the bushings and Poco knob. Quality is top notch, shifts are solid and firm. Took a little tweaking to get it dialed in, but it works flawlessly. My only regret is that I had to cover it up with the console. Oh...they give you enough stickers to wall paper a small room too.

It's possible to install all the components omitting the main center console. Although you sacrifice cupholders/storage space, it's a good solution to have easy access to the adjustments during the shifters break in period/show it off at car shows 😎. Just don't forget to remove the car key sensor from the back of the center console and plug it Into it's respective connector in the car. Our videographer Pawinn should be covering this in a new video on his channel later this month 🤘

Are you currently using the FK8's auto rev match feature that's enabled by default or have you disabled it? There' should be no change in the rev-matching procedure due to shifting-related changes. If you have the auto-rev match system off, you just may have to do things a bit faster than usual.

For us Canadian Si owners - I am assuming we have to disconnect the charging pad connector as the last step in our disassembly? Can any Canuck owners confirm this last step?

Hey thanks for commenting! Yes you’ll need to remove/disconnect the charging pad before you can remove the upper console panel and bottom half of the center console. In short, once you remove the shift knob, shifter surround panel, side trim pieces, and the climate control module, you’ll notice the charging pad has a thin plastic trim piece around it that can be unclipped by hand. Once that surrounding trim piece is removed, you’ll see two Phillip screws that secure the charging pad to the upper console panel. Remove those, then you can pry the sides and back of the charging pad to unclip it from the upper console panel and then unplug the wiring underneath it. Then you should be able to remove the upper console panel and proceed to the steps to remove of the rest of the center console. Hope this helps! @@ACUiTYinstruments Thanks man. I did this yesterday. I installed the Acuity Shifter Rocker, Gate Spring, Short Throw Adapter and the Base Bushings in one shot. Taking out the charge pad was a bit tricky as well as tightening the short throw adapter. I have to admit the shifting feels way better now with a bit of noise (I didn't zip tie the shifter cable as I saw next to nothing for play yet). With the Short Throw Adapter you will not be able to go into 5th. Works fine after everything is installed. NOTICE - For Canadian Owners who have the immobilizer and the Push Start - You will be unable to start the car normally as the immobilizer will kill the engine turning over. Nobody really knew on how to help me but I ended up figuring out. AFTER reconnecting the Negative Battery Cable - on the very FIRST Start, you have to press the brake pedal all the way to the bottom and then start it with the clutch and Start button.

Awesome 🤘😎. For daily driving I'd start off with the middle settings on both the gate and throw adjustments. Then the height and the position of the shift knob can then be adjusted to suit your arm length/preferences (a shorter height will reduce throw as well, and vice versa).

It's best to view the various kits on the website, but basically the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Shift Kits for the 10th gen civic offer bolt-on parts to upgrade the OEM shifter. The stage 3 kit features our 1892 Fully Adjustable Short Shifter, which replaces the OEM shifter entirely. For the most mild setup on our shifters, do the following: -If the height is adjustable, set the height to the tallest setting (normally marked "4" or "5" on the height adjustment rod) -If the throw is adjustable, set the throw to "1" -If the gate spacing is adjustable, set the gate spacing to "1" This will give you the longest throw and widest gates possible. From there, reduce the adjustments to your liking.

I’m having trouble with my sports mode activating. I rechecked all the wiring 3x and my sports mode won’t kick on after installing. Any solutions??

Normally it relates to the harness just not being clipped into the buttons, but on super rare occasions, we have seen people damage the plugs. I'd try just checking connectors. Disconnect them, check the male and female pins for damage. If possible, check continuity between the wires and the pins in the connector to make sure you have continuity. If all of that looks good, try disconnecting the battery (with the car off), which will reset all of the car's electronics. Keep in mind, it will take a few driving cycles to reset everything after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

Good news! You are very likely not screwed! :) Just to confirm, you are referring to the tab on the black bushing that prevents the bushing from rotating once you lock it into the shifter's frame, correct? If so, you should be ok. Realistically, the bushings may be fine as is, but just to be cautious, consider adding a zip tie that prevents the bushing from pulling out of the bracket just in case the bushing ever rotates. You don't need anything crazy, just some slight pressure to hold it in place.

Can you explain the question a bit better? I'm not sure what the comment is in regards to, specifically. If you're referring to the car itself, as long as it's in park, you should be fine for the installation. No jacks etc are required and you do not need to get under the car.

Is the torque wrench really needed?

That's a good question. We list torques to be safe and to try to help customers avoid over-torquing adjustments. The truth is, if you are an experienced gearhead, you can likely skip the torques and snug the adjustments, but to be safe, keep an eye on the torques to make sure you're not overdoing it. Also note that our shifters are (mostly) marked in newton-meters and inch-pounds. Please don't confuse inch-pounds with foot-pounds since a foot-pound is 12 times higher than an inch-pound. For many, this is common knowledge, so apologies if that's the case here, but we've seen the confusion arise enough that we like to just say it to be safe. I've installed these exact shifters probably 50 times now (mostly during our R&D phase) and for most of those, I just hand-snugged everything for the sake of speed (with no ill consequences to speak of). The one adjustment to be very careful with is the gate spacing adjustment. It uses a large hex to adjust it but the screw is an M6, so don't be tempted to over-torque it just because the driver size is large. An L-handle allen wrench is plenty enough to torque the allen-key adjustments like throw, height, rotation, and the mounting screws though. :)

What does gate spacing do? 9:55

Gate spacing is basically the distance your hand is traveling left or right during a shift. So you have the 1/2 gate, 3/4 gate, 5/6 gate, and Reverse gates on a 6-speed honda gearbox. It's normally ideal to reduce the gate spacing slightly when reducing shift throw so that you don't have super short throws with wide gates (which can be a bit awkward). So basically the gate spacing adjustment and throw adjustment permits independent fine tuning of how far forward/back your hand moves and then how far left/right your hand moves during shifts.

There are a lot of steps compared to older Hondas/Acuras, but each individual step is pretty straight forward. To us it's worth it since the quality of the interiors, or at least the consoles, is so much better than it used to be. The first time takes a while since you are still learning how everything goes together, but these days we can have the console removed and shifters swapped in 30-60 minutes at our shop.
